This Privacy Policy explains how Frolic ("Frolic", "we", "us", or "the app"), operated by EverythingDance ("the developer"), handles information when you use the Frolic iOS application. We built Frolic to be private by design: there are no accounts, no tracking, and no advertising. Please read this policy carefully. By using Frolic, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
We do not collect analytics, do not use advertising identifiers, and do not sell or share your data with data brokers.
The photos you choose and the videos you create stay on your device, except that the content needed to generate a result is sent to our AI processing provider (Replicate) to fulfill your request.
You can delete everything Frolic stores with one tap in Settings → Clear all data.

Frolic is designed to minimize data. We do not collect or maintain:
Account credentials, usernames, names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or marketing profiles.
Analytics or behavioral tracking data. The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, or advertising SDKs.
Precise or coarse location data.
Contacts, calendars, health, or financial information.
Any persistent identifier used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Frolic only processes the content you actively choose to use:
Photos you select. When you pick a photo from your library (or take one with the camera), Frolic uses it solely to generate your stylized animation. Photos are read into the app only for the creation you request.
Style and motion choices. Your selections (for example, "plush" and "dance") are combined with the photo to build the request sent to our AI provider.
We do not use your photos, prompts, or outputs to train models, for advertising, or for any purpose other than producing the result you asked for.
Frolic is a "pure client" app with no servers of our own. To create your animation, the app sends the content required for your request — the photo you selected (resized and encoded on your device), together with your chosen style and motion text — directly from your device over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our AI processing provider, Replicate, Inc.
Replicate runs the AI models on its infrastructure and returns the generated image and video to your device. Replicate acts as a data processor for the purpose of fulfilling your request. We do not operate an intermediary server, and we do not retain copies of your photos, prompts, or outputs on any server we control.

We encourage you not to upload photos that contain sensitive personal information you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.
The following data is stored only on your device:
Your gallery of created videos and their poster images, stored in the app's private storage area.
App settings such as appearance (System/Light/Dark) and your "Save videos to Photos" preference.
Your optional Replicate API key, stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
If you enable "Save videos to Photos," finished videos are also written to your system photo library using the permission you grant. Those videos are then managed by iOS and the Photos app, not by Frolic.
Frolic only asks for the permissions needed for its features:
Photo Library (read). To let you choose a photo to animate.
Photo Library (add). To save finished videos to your photo library when you ask.
Camera (optional). Only if you choose to take a new photo to animate.
You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app under Frolic. Denying a permission may limit related features but will not otherwise affect the app.
Because Frolic stores your creations and settings on your device, you are always in control:
Tap Settings → Clear all data to immediately delete your gallery, saved video files, cached data, and your saved Replicate API key from the device.
Deleting the app from your device removes all of its on-device data.
Videos you exported to your system Photos library are not removed by these actions; delete them from the Photos app if desired.
We do not retain your content on our side because we do not operate content servers. For how long Replicate may retain request data during processing, see Replicate's privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The only sharing that occurs is the transfer of your request content to Replicate, solely to generate the result you requested, as described in Section 4.
Frolic is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no accounts and collects no personal data, no personal information about a child is gathered by us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing.
Access and deletion. Frolic does not maintain a personal data profile about you. Your content and settings live on your device and can be erased at any time using "Clear all data" or by uninstalling the app.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
Non-discrimination. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

Frolic is available to users in the United States, the European Union, and other regions. When your request content is sent to Replicate for processing, it may be processed on servers located in the United States or other countries. Those transfers are carried out to fulfill your request. Replicate's privacy policy describes the safeguards applicable to its processing.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information: requests to Replicate are sent over encrypted HTTPS (TLS), and any optional API key you provide is stored in the iOS Keychain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we design the app to keep your data on your device wherever possible.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this page. Material changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of Frolic after an update means you accept the revised policy.
