2023-2024 Season 

Flat Rock Stats: 2 competitive teams.

Cardboard Innovators received the Breakthrough Award at the St. Mary’s Academy FLL Regional.

<--After 6 years of working as a duo, we picked up an additional teacher to coach. We welcomed 7th grade math teacher Mrs. Ayers!

2022-2023 Season 

Flat Rock Stats: 1 competitive team, 1 un-registered recreational team.

Team S.P.A.R.K. (Solar Powered Awesome Robot Kids) won the Champions Award at the West Georgia Regionals

Eagle Robotics students were part of a group of 30 Fayette County students invited to the preview of the new roller coaster at the Fun Spot in Fayetteville on March 31st. 

The Arieforce One coaster has 16 airtime moments, 4 inversions and a first-ever raven-truss dive. The students not only got to ride multiple times, but they also met and learned about the engineering process from the head project engineer and met retired astronaut, Colonel Doug Hurley. 

2021-2022 Season

Flat Rock Stats: 2 competitive teams

Team U.P.S. (United Problem Solvers) won the overall Champions Award at Regionals and 3rd place at the State Competition in Core Values.

2020-2021 Season

Flat Rock Stats: 1 competitive team, 1 un-registered (no experience necessary) team.

Team R.O.C. (Robotic Over Complicators) won the overall Champions Award at Regionals and 3rd place at the State Competition (all competitions held virtually due to COVID).

Working on the research project that is part of FIRST LEGO League. 
One of several proto-types for the solution to our project.

We spend a lot of time on our research project. Divided into groups, these students were part of the "yellow chair" group. 
Explaining the mechanism with pencils. 
Using port view on the robot to determine how far the robot needs to move to be in the correct location for the mission.

Team ROC (Robot Over Complicators). 
We build more than one robot so it helps to have them named. This year since our team was named ROC, we opted for rocks and mineral names. 
We worked with the non-registered, no experience necessary team on some of their programming. 
Virtual competitions because of COVID meant we received our trophies at the end of the season instead of at competitions.

2019-2020 Season

Flat Rock Stats: 2 competitive teams.

Team SAFE (Smart Artistic Fun Eagles)  won the Champions Award at the Clayton State Super-Regionals and placed 2nd at the State Championship at Athen's Academy.

We always meet after competitions to reflect on what went right and what went wrong. We also eat a lot of pizza.

Team I.C.E. (Impressive Coalition of Eagles) won the research project award at Regionals, the research project award at  Super-Regionals and the Research Award at the State Championships at Georgia Tech.
