About the Flat Rock PTO
Your involvement makes a real difference. By joining the Flat Rock PTO, you’re giving your student—and their teachers—valuable support that helps them succeed. Even in middle school, parents continue to play a critical role in their child’s education.
Research from Harvard University’s Family Research Project shows that students with involved parents consistently perform better. They earn higher GPAs, score better on standardized tests, and are more likely to attend college. Parental involvement is essential to the growth of our students.

Thank you in your interest in sponsoring our school.
Your donations support our students, teachers, and staff. It will also help us around the school. We would love to fix up the football and baseball fields. The teachers would like an outdoor area to hold class and have lunch outside. We would like to put an awning up at the car drop off area and one near the front entrance to the school.

PTO Spirit Wear is still available. To view items click here: Spirit Wear Shop
All can be worn or used at school, including our new clear water bottles. Online orders will be delivered to students homeroom <2 weeks from order. A confirmation email will be sent to parents to notify of delivery date.

We are appreciating our teachers and staff this year by giving away a gift card a month. If you would like to donate a gift card(s) or money towards the purchase of additional gift cards we can appreciate more people. To donate money to the gift card drive go to our Cashapp $FRMSPTO or contact Jacinta Bouknight, our PTO Treasurer & Melissa Lohr, our Parent Liaison to drop off/send in gift cards.

Knowing that everyone is busy and that having a middle schooler probably means you also support your students extra curricular activities, the PTO decided several years ago to only hold one fundraiser. With the money raised the PTO has been able to fund the purchase of a new digital sign for the school, benches for around the building, and grants for teachers.

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
Dear Flat Rock Families,
On behalf of the Flat Rock Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! My name is Tomia Hines, and I am honored to serve as this year’s PTO President. I’m excited to continue the strong partnership we’ve built with our School Board, Administration, dedicated Teachers, and invaluable Staff to ensure our children receive an exceptional educational experience.
If you’re new to Flat Rock Middle School, we extend a warm Eagle welcome to you and your family. To our returning families—welcome back! I know you share our enthusiasm for a fresh, exciting school year ahead.
As a parent or guardian of a student at Flat Rock, you are automatically a member of the PTO. Our organization plays an active role in supporting the school through events and initiatives such as the Game ON Fundraiser, Book Fairs, Teacher Appreciation Week, Classroom Grants, Reading and PBIS Celebrations, and various other activities throughout the year.
Our success depends on the generosity and involvement of families like yours. Whether you choose to join a committee, volunteer your time, or simply attend events, your support makes a meaningful difference. No matter how you contribute, your time and energy are always appreciated.
Thank you for everything you do for our Flat Rock Eagles. I’m looking forward to a year filled with growth, community, and meaningful learning experiences for our children.
