Working Together to Support and Improve Our Community
Who We Are
Friends of Wellington is a volunteer-led nonprofit that partners with Wellington City to help with community improvement, beautification, run or support events, and conduct service projects. Anyone who supports our mission is welcome to join — you do not need to live in city limits.
What We Do
Our volunteers help with:
Community cleanups
Beautification, planting flowers, and other landscaping
Seasonal and holiday decorating
Support for Pioneer Days, the Easter Egg Hunt, and other city events
Historic and cultural preservation
Assistance with grants and community improvement projects
There are opportunities for all ages and ability levels.
Membership
Members agree to take part in at least one project per year.
Members may serve on project committees or receive assignments from a Project Leader or the Board of Directors, who oversee planning and coordination.
Service hours are reported to the Secretary who keeps digital records and contact information.
Two general membership meetings will be held each year. Members can bring project ideas to the Board, receive updates and recognition, and enjoy a fun, social gathering.
