Join the monthly working bee to help out, submit eBird checklists, record iNaturalist observations, or just spend time in the Grange Reserve. There's something for everyone.
Come to the monthly bird survey and working bee, one or both, for part of for all of it, we're all busy these days.
Working bees are held on the second Saturday of the month between February and November (inclusive). Working bee dates for 2025 are below.
Working bees start at 9:30am and go until 11:3am. After the working bee a Council conservation officer guides a short walk around the reserve to talk about the recent sighting and developments.
Bird surveys are held on the second Saturday of the month between February and November (inclusive).
Bird surveys start at 8:00am and go until 9:30am, when the working bee begins.
Nocturnal insect surveys are held once a month, generally 2 weeks after the working bee on Sunday night. These surveys are scheduled closer to the day due to changing weather condition.
The noctural insect survey does not run in the cooler months as there is less insect activity.
