What’s Happening Now

The Etobicoke Greenway corridor is currently in a transition period following major infrastructure upgrades. This creates an important opportunity to consider the long-term future of the space.

⚡ Infrastructure Upgrades Complete

Hydro One has completed major upgrades within the corridor, rebuilding and modernizing transmission infrastructure. The line is now in service.

🌱 Restoration Beginning

With construction work completed, restoration activities are beginning along sections of the corridor. This includes re-seeding grass, repairing disturbed areas, and supporting the recovery of the landscape.

🌿 A Window of Opportunity

As restoration progresses, there is an opportunity to consider how this corridor can serve both essential infrastructure needs and long-term community use as a greenway.

Hydro One Etobicoke Greenway Project 

Hydro One is hosting and in-person community open house to share The Etobicoke Greenway Trail design and next steps. Join in on Thursday Aug 20th anytime between 4 pm and 7 pm at St. Gregory's Catholic Church at 122 Rathburn Road. Information will be shared at the open house will be posted on the project site at https://www.hydroone.com/about/corporate-information/major-projects/etobicoke-greenway
