Volunteering
If you are a high school student looking to earn service hours at a worthwhile community event (or an adult just looking to volunteer), you're in the right spot. The Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library have book sales that require work to set-up, straighten, and take down books at the end of the sale. We always need help with taking down our sales.
Click the Signup Genius link to the left to see what opportunities are available for cleanup after book sales at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library (if there is no Sign Up Genius link, we are currently not looking for volunteers.) Spots are limited.
Here's a summary of what you can expect to do during your volunteering time.
Check in with Allison Anderson or another Cleanup Leader in a yellow shirt/vest
Length of time helping cleanup is generally 2-3 hours.
You will box books, load them onto carts, and take them to the Friends room on the lower level and then unload and stack the boxes.
The Library is located at 500 N Dunton in Arlington Heights. Volunteers must have good listening skills and wear closed-toed shoes at the book sale.
