The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library rely on volunteers to make our work possible. From helping set up for our popular book and jewelry sales to serving as a board member or program chair, there are many ways to get involved. Whether you can give a few hours at an event or take on a leadership role, your time and talents directly support the library and our community.

The Friends gratefully accept donations of books for our Annual Book Sale. Funds raised will support library programs and services. Book donations can be dropped off on Friday, January 9th, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Volunteer opportunities are available on January 8th, 9th and 10th. Use this sign-up link to volunteer!
The Friends gratefully accept donations of gently used jewelry for our popular Jewelry Sale. Your treasures will find a new home while helping to raise funds that support library programs and services. Donations can be dropped off at the library during open hours.
Our beloved Book Sale is a highlight of the year! Browse thousands of donated books, puzzles, and media for all ages. Every purchase helps fund library programs, events, and resources that enrich our community.
Friends members are invited to our Annual Meeting, a free event featuring a keynote speaker, light refreshments, and an opportunity to connect with fellow library supporters. It’s a time to celebrate the year’s accomplishments, hear updates on library programs, and provide feedback to help shape future initiatives.
