Description:
The Patuxent High School Key Club is proud to host our second annual Friendship Dance!
As you may know, many special education students don't get the opportunity to attend dances such as Homecoming and Prom. We hope to create a special dance just for them! Elementary, Middle and High School special education students and their families, along with special education faculty are invited to this free event. Also, if your school has a Best Buddies program, they are as well highly encouraged to come. This event is family friendly and for all ages. We will have a DJ, dance contests, raffles, games, snacks & drinks and a candy bar with a goody bag you get to decorate, music and dancing!
Did you know...
In 2019, Patuxent key club's Friendship Dance was internationally ranked second place for single service in the bronze division. We were able to receive our award at the 2019 Key Club International Convention in Baltimore, Maryland.
Patuxent Key Club is honored to have been internationally recognized for our service. The Friendship Dance most certainly could not have been done without the amazing Patuxent Best Buddies program. We appreciate all who help to make this event possible!
