A previous response that was made is that "there are millions of people listening so it just takes a while to update", this is incorrect as as soon as you change to the next song, the activity gets instantly updated with the previous one.

I have an iPhone 13 and am having the same issue as LoverOfMusic. My friends' thumb lists either show that they zero thumbed songs or it shows the number of thumbed songs, but doesn't list the songs when I click on the list.

"Just Good Friends" is a song from American recording artist Michael Jackson's 1987 album Bad. The song is one of two duets on the album, the other being "I Just Can't Stop Loving You". The song features Jackson and Stevie Wonder quarrelling over a girl in a light, cheerful manner. "Just Good Friends" is the fifth track on Bad with a duration of 4:06. It is the only song from the album to have never been released as a single. "Just Good Friends" is one of only two songs on Bad which were not written by Jackson himself, the other being "Man in the Mirror". The song was written and composed by the '80s song writing-partnership of Terry Britten and Graham Lyle.

Richard Cromelin of the Los Angeles Times liked what he called a relaxed and charming nature of Jackson and Wonder's vocal performances in the duet. He noted the song's "early Jackson 5 charge" and Motown links. He was impressed with both "Just Good Friends" and "Man in the Mirror" and thought they stood out in comparison to other tracks from Bad.[2] On the other hand, Rolling Stone criticized "Just Good Friends" as being "the only mediocrity" on Bad.[3] The reviewer attributed this to the fact that "Just Good Friends" is one of only two songs not actually written by Jackson on the album.[3] Rolling Stone commented that the Stevie Wonder-duet starts well, but "devolves into a chin-bobbing cheerfulness that is unforced but also, sadly, unearned."[3] Quincy Jones was also very critical of the song: "I made a mistake on the duet with him and Stevie ["Just Good Friends", written by Terry Britten and Graham Lyle]. That didn't work."[4]

"Real Friends" is a song by American rapper Kanye West, featuring vocals from fellow singer Ty Dolla Sign. It was released as a promotional single from West's seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo, on January 8, 2016, The song includes West rapping about his trust issues around friends and family, with Whodini's song "Friends" being directly recalled.

In March 2016, Swizz Beatz revealed via Instagram that DMX was recording his feature for a remix of "Real Friends".[6] Joey Badass made the claim in January 2018 that he spoke to West at Coachella 2016, where West apparently told him that he inspired him to make the song.[7]

"Real Friends" received universal acclaim from music critics. At Pitchfork, Jonah Bromwich awarded the song the "Best New Track" tag, labeling it as "heavy, grizzled, and sad" and complimenting its production and lyrical content.[8] Adelle Platon of Billboard called the song's beat "dreamy", and commented on the lyrical content by writing that Kanye "waxes poetic about trust issues and reflects on how he could be a better BFF and family man."[9]

Pitchfork listed "Real Friends" on their ranking of the 100 best songs of 2016 at number 14.[10] Red Bull named it the second best song of 2016.[11] Genius listed the song as the thirteenth best song of 2016.[12] Crack Magazine placed it fifth in their end of year best songs of the year list.[13]

In January 2016, singer Erykah Badu released a remix of the track titled "Trill Friends" which was named "Best New Track" by Pitchfork.[14] Rapper Waka Flocka Flame also released his own remix version of the song in April 2016.[15] A minute-long verse by DMX surfaced online in December 2017 whilst he was in jail that was supposed to be on a remix by West featuring him that never was released due to DMX's legal issues.[6]

"Real Friends" debuted at number 92 on the US Billboard Hot 100 upon the release of The Life of Pablo.[16] It also charted at number 34 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in the same week and stayed on the chart for a total of two weeks.[17] The song performed best in the United Kingdom, reaching number 78 on the UK Singles Chart.[18]

Last week, Yoenis Cspedes stole headlines and crushed game-winnning homers when he started using "Circle of Life" from The Lion King as his walkup song. But it's a new week, and for the Mets, a new walkup song: This time, during the Mets' 5-1 win over the Nationals on Sunday, Wilmer Flores debuted, um, "Friends?"

I ordered your e-books, and I am absolutely loving them. I've only very recently started writing songs (I've written four...but all within the last week!), and the information you offer is incredibly useful. So, thank you!

I recently bought your collection of e-books on song writing, chord changes and creating harmonies and I would just like to let you know how pleased I am with them. They have very clearly answered so many of the things about music writing which I've never been able to really find a clear answer to before. My enthusiasm for song writing has just come back with a vengeance! Many thanks!

But no one told Willis life was going to be this way. The Detroit native didn't even read music or play an instrument, she learned how to craft songs by sitting outside of Motown Records. As a kid, Willis would have her parents drive her down to the studios.

In 1978, Willis was a struggling songwriter in Los Angeles, writing album liner notes and getting by on food stamps, when she got a call from Maurice White of the band Earth, Wind & Fire. He wanted Willis to help write the group's next album.

"As I open the door, they had just written the intro to 'September.' And I just thought, 'Dear God, let this be what they want me to write!' Cause it was obviously the happiest-sounding song in the world," Willis said.

Willis wrote hundreds of other songs, including pieces for Ray Charles, Sister Sledge and Cyndi Lauper. She also co-wrote The Rembrandts' "I'll Be There For You," the theme song for the '90s sitcom Friends. The song was nominated for an Emmy.

"The Best of Friends" is a song performed by Marshall and the rest of the PAW Patrol in "Pups Save Friendship Day". The song celebrates friendship, regardless of whomever it is with and wherever they may be.

Friends executive producer Kevin S. Bright, who formed Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions in 1993 with Marta Kauffman and David Crane, was looking to do something a bit different with the Friends theme song. He was in the market for a melody similar to that of R.E.M.'s 1987 hit "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)," which is the song that accompanied the Friends pilot when Bright first sent it to Wilde and Solem. "I think they thought it felt, tempo-wise, that was where they wanted to go," Wilde said. "Kevin had it in his head that he didn't want to have a jingle writer write the theme song for the show. He was a fan of The Rembrandts from other records that we had made, so he called our manager. Our manager called us on Monday and we said, 'Sure, we'll try it out. We'll see what happens.'"

As the bandmates recalled, that following Thursday in mid-September 1994, they sat down with Michael Skloff, the Friends theme song composer and also Kaufman's husband, and Allee Willis, the brains behind the lyrics. "Michael Skloff was the only guy who was responsible for the music and the vibe of the show. He had an idea for how the song ought to go, so we got together and we pitched some ideas," Solem said. "We Rembrandt-ified it. We were like, 'If it's gonna be us, it's gotta be this.' 'We wouldn't say that, we'd say this.'"

But not before some finishing touches were added. "We thought we were all done, and then, we went in to hear the final mix and the clapping was in there," Solem said. "I was like, Who thought of that? That's like the best part!" Wilde said the show's executive producers wanted to make a contribution to the clapping portion of the song as well. "Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane wanted to be part of the record so they wanted to try the clapping part," he said, before pausing and putting his face in his hands. "Oh my god. All they had to do was go (clap, clap, clap, clap). And it was like, 'Take 25!'"

And, you'll note, Wilde clapped four, not five times when he recounted that story. He was happy to clarify that it is indeed four claps, not five in the song, which even confuses some of the cast members. "I watched that Jimmy Kimmel thing a couple weeks ago and Courteney, when it came to that part, she goes (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap)," Solem said. "She did it five times. I was like, Court. FOUR!"

Friends was worthy of some applause when it made its debut on Sept. 22, 1994. The pilot came in as the 15th-most-watched television show of the week, scoring a 14.7 Nielsen rating and bringing in 21.5 million viewers, which only CBS's The Big Bang Theory comes close to sitcom-wise these days. "It was pretty cool," Wilde said of hearing the song they'd recorded less than a week earlier on air for the first time. "That was back in the day when the theme song was almost 50 seconds. It was great."

But that wasn't the end of the journey for "I'll Be There for You." Charlie Quinn, the program director at Nashville radio station Y107, looped the original 45-second version of the song a few times, turning it into a three-minute pop song. "It got a crazy amount of requests. The phone lines started blowing up and all the sister stations started playing it and it went national," Wilde said. "Our record at the time, L.P., was already finished and advance copies had already shipped to radio. But the record company [East West Records] said, 'Hold the press! Wait a second! We've got this crazy runaway hit!' So then we went in and recorded the full version and scrapped all the other cassettes, CDs, and vinyl and added it to the record." 0852c4b9a8
