Friends of Heirloom Flowers

The Friends of Heirloom Flowers takes care of the gardens at Shinn Historical Park. Our clubhouse is the original home of the Shinn Family in California. When the James and Lucy Shinn arrived in 1856, they lived in this small house, built by William Sim. Here James and Lucy raised five children. Three children, Milicent, Charles, and Joseph had long and interesting lives. The Big House was finished in 1876 and the new gardens were laid out by the children and cousin.
