Even though our beloved alma mater is closing, they can never extinguish the pride and memories we have playing for the Bishop McDevitt Lancers. When you think about Lancers Football and this golf outing, one name, one personality, and one unifying force come to mind—Donald “Big Doc” Dougherty, a Hall of Famer and member of the Class of 1986 and the founder of this outing beginning in 2007. To keep the spirit of our program going and to honor our founder, teammate, and most importantly, friend, we have renamed our event to the “Big Doc Classic” Lancers Football Alumni Golf Outing.

• THE FIRST 120 PAID GOLFERS WILL HAVE A GUARANTEED SPOT IN THE 9:00AM SHOTGUN START.

• This outing will be the one that you have come to know and love with a cool LFA gift, beers on the course, and an afterparty on the deck at LuLu.

• $175 per golfer—checks or Venmo are preferred and payment must be received by 10/1/21 to secure a spot.

• Tee sponsors for alumni businesses, class years, teammates, etc. (see below for contact information)

• After party only cost is $60 for those who cannot join and the after-party time will be determined based on the finishing times of the morning rounds

As alumni we all supported Coach Manzi and Coach Watkins as they continued the great traditions of Lancer football. We will now pivot and lend our support to organizations that have supported our Lancer Football Alumni. Specifically, any net proceeds from this year’s LFA outing will be donated to “For Pete’s Sake” or the "Breathing Room Foundation" who assisted our own “Big Doc”.
