What is a risk factor? A risk factor is a trait that are found in a biological, psychological, family, community, or cultural level that increase the chance of developing a mental health disorder.
We decided to select peer pressure as our risk factor. Peer pressure is a very serious issue that many people face and struggle with. Some mental health disorders that have been linked to peer pressure include:
anxiety
depression
substance abuse

Protective Factor
What is a protective factor? A protective factor is an attribute that is linked to a decreased chance of developing a mental health disorder due to the risk factors.
Our protective factors for peer pressure are:
fostering healthy relationships
setting boundaries
building self-esteem
