At SQ Tech, we value your privacy. FridgIx: Food & Fridge Tracker is designed with an offline-first approach to help you organize your fridge, reduce food waste, monitor food freshness, and generate AI-powered recipe suggestions while minimizing the collection of personal information.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
FridgIx is designed to operate with minimal data collection.
You can use the App without creating an account or signing in.
We do not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or home address through the App.
Your inventory data, including food items, expiration dates, quantities, shopping lists, pantry items, freezer items, settings, and preferences, is stored locally on your device using a local database (Drift/SQLite).
SQ Tech does not have access to the information stored locally on your device.
FridgIx offers optional AI-powered features such as:
Recipe generation
Meal suggestions
Food usage recommendations
Kitchen assistance
When you use these features, the ingredient names, food items, or prompts you provide are securely transmitted to our backend services and trusted AI providers to generate a response.
This information is processed only to provide the feature you requested. We do not intentionally use it to identify you or build a personal profile.
AI-generated recipes and food safety recommendations are provided for informational purposes only. Always use your own judgment before consuming any food.
FridgIx may use trusted third-party services to provide certain features, including:
Supabase (backend services)
AI service providers (for AI-powered features)
These providers process only the information necessary to deliver the requested functionality and operate according to their own privacy policies.
FridgIx requests only the permissions necessary to provide its features.
Used to scan food items, grocery receipts, and barcodes for faster inventory management.
Used to remind you about expiring food, food safety alerts, and optional meal planning reminders.
You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Information required to provide AI-powered features may be processed by trusted service providers solely to generate the response you request.
We do not use your inventory information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Most information created in FridgIx remains stored locally on your device.
Information processed for AI-powered features is handled only for the time necessary to provide the requested service and is not intentionally retained longer than required to operate the feature.
You may remove your locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
FridgIx is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information processed by the App.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements.
