We are excited that you are considering joining the Fresno State Hockey team! Coming to a new school can be a big transition, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Our team welcomes students with open arms and looks forward to the fresh perspectives and talents you bring.
Why Join Fresno State Hockey? As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to compete at a high level, train in excellent facilities, and become part of a close-knit community that values teamwork, dedication, and mutual support.
Steps to Join the Team
1. Apply to Fresno State: Make sure you have completed your transfer application and have been accepted to Fresno State. Visit the Fresno State Admissions page for details.
2. Contact the Coaching Staff: Let us know you are interested in joining the team. Email us at fs.icehockey@gmail.com to introduce yourself and learn more about the program.
3. Submit a Player Recruitment Form: Fill out the Player Recruitment Form to provide us with your athletic background and contact information.
4. Visit Campus: Schedule a visit to see our facilities, meet the team, and experience what Fresno State has to offer.
5. Prepare Your Athletic Profile: Gather your athletic resume, including your stats, previous teams, and any highlight reels.
Once You’re an Official Fresno State Student Welcome to the team! Here is the information we will need from you to finalize your spot:
1. Provide your Fresno State student ID number.
2. Submit your academic schedule to help us coordinate practice and training times.
3. Complete a sports physical and provide medical clearance documentation.
4. Complete any necessary consent forms and waivers required by the athletic department.
5. Provide your sizes for team gear and uniforms.
6. Supply any relevant travel details or requirements for away games. Getting Started with Fresno State Hockey We are thrilled to have you
join our community and look forward to a fantastic season ahead. To get started, please complete the following tasks as soon as possible:
1. Sign up for Engage on Club Sports: Visit the Engage platform and register for Club Sports using your Fresno State sign-in.
2. Join the Fresno State 24-25 Telegram Chat: Join our official team chat on Telegram to stay connected with your teammates and receive important updates.
3. Fill Out the "About Me" and Website Update Google Form: Provide us with some information about yourself and update your details for our website.
4. Submit a full-body action photo: of you in your previous hockey gear. This will be used for our team profiles and promotional materials.
5. Submit any videos: If you have any videos showcasing your skills and gameplay, be ready to submit them.
6. At the start of the first practice, be prepared to submit $150 for club dues and fees. If you cannot pay the full amount at that time, we can discuss payment plans to accommodate your situation.
7. Screenshot your student schedule and submit it. Also, screenshot or create a document for your work schedule and submit it.
8. Keep an eye on your Fresno State email and the Telegram chat for any messages regarding the upcoming season.
