Have you ever wondered why God loves us so much? Why he just doesn't do away with us (in light of the current world condition and events) and create something better?
I've been thinking about this over-the-years and again just recently. The answer to those two questions has to do with his character and his nature.
When we try to understand anything, we base the process in/on our own "human" ability to comprehend, process and synthesize what information we have and come to the best understanding possible. This is usually adequate enough to come to some reasonable conclusions and subsequently some actions, decisions and words that we believe are based on the information acquired, knowledge shared and observations made.
We have used this process from time eternal.
However, when it comes to understanding God, things change.
We have to start with accepting that God is beyond our ability to adequately, let alone completely, comprehend, explain, observe, talk to and write about.
So with that in mind let's jump into the discussion that everyone wants to have yet no one, to date, has been able to adequately explore. Who is God.
So. Who is God. What evidence do we have of His existence. What do we know about God. What don't we know about God. Why is acceptance of God's existence important for us as human beings.
The simple answer is this. Acceptance of God's existence is essential to a healthy spiritual, psychological and physical life (more on this later).
So let's put something out of the way first. Proving God's existence with the abilities we have at this moment is impossible using scientific methods. Just as determining where "Original Matter" (the stuff the universe is made of) is impossible to do as well.
Someone will always point to what astrophysicists, cosmologists and/or physicists call "The Big Bang" as the source the universe and, in doing so, assert directly, by deduction or by inference that the universe and, by extension, original matter came into existence at that moment.
Well there is a problem with that thought. If a person looks into that statement more fully, it is soon apparent that the "Big Bang" is thought to have occurred as the result of existing matter expanding from an incredibly small place/point according to some of the theories proposed.
What those theories fail to accomplish is to explain where that matter came from.
So. Just as a person who accepts that God exists, yet cannot prove this empirically (scientifically) with the abilities he or she has at hand, neither can a person who does not accept that God exists prove where "Original Matter" came from.
This is an important understanding to acquire.
When a person does not accept the existence of God, then they have to be able to explain how original matter came into existence.
