FRENA houses a 1 meter Scattering Chamber which is being developed for detection of charged particle channels in astrophysical reactions.
The scattering chamber can house multiple charged-particle detectors. Additionally, a cup-type thin window flange is integrated into the chamber, facilitating the placement of gamma-ray detectors close to the target centre.Â
The chamber is made of SS 304, with an inner diameter of 1 m and wall thickness of 12 mm.
