Varieties of google ads
Google Ads offers a variety of ad formats to cater to different marketing objectives and target audiences. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, here are some of the main types of Google Ads:
Search Ads: Text-based ads that appear at the top or bottom of Google search results when users enter relevant queries. Advertisers bid on keywords to display their ads.
Display Ads: Visual ads, including images, graphics, and sometimes videos, that appear on websites within the Google Display Network. This network includes a wide range of websites and reaches a broad audience.
Video Ads: Ads displayed on YouTube and across the Google Display Network. These can be skippable or non-skippable video ads and can appear before, during, or after YouTube videos.
Shopping Ads: Product-based ads that appear on the Google Search page or within the Shopping tab. These ads include an image, product name, price, and store name.
App Ads: Ads designed to promote mobile apps. They can appear in Google search results, the Google Display Network, YouTube, and within other apps.
Local Ads: Ads that promote local businesses and include information such as business location, hours, and directions. These can appear on Google Maps and the Google Search Network.
Smart Campaigns: Designed for small businesses and those new to online advertising, Smart Campaigns use automated technology to create and optimize ads across Google's networks.
Responsive Search Ads: Advertisers provide multiple headlines and descriptions, and Google automatically tests different combinations to determine the most effective ad.
Responsive Display Ads: Advertisers provide various assets (images, headlines, logos, etc.), and Google automatically generates ads that fit different ad spaces within the Display Network.
Discovery Ads: Ads that appear in Google Discover feed, Gmail, and YouTube Home Feed. These ads are designed to reach users as they explore content.
*Please note that Google may introduce new ad formats or make changes to existing ones over time, so it's a good idea to check the latest information on the Google Ads website for the most up-to-date details.
