What's the difference between Group and Individual fundraising?

FBMPA runs two different types of fundraisers - Group and Individual.  We run a variety of fundraisers to keep FBMPA running, and to allow students to fundraise towards music department related expenses.  If you have suggestions for new fundraisers, let us know.  We are always looking for new ideas. 

Group fundraisers support yearly music expenses (marching band drill, student awards and recognition, banquet costs, etc), music director needs not covered by the school, and help pay for FBMPA organizational expenses (charitable status, accountant, insurance).

Individual fundraisers allow students to earn Student Fundraising Dollars (SFD).  SFD can be used to defer the student's cost for music department related expenses such as banquet tickets, trips, show shirts, etc.  These funds are recorded for each student.  They can be used while the student is in the program, and can be passed on to a younger sibling in the program.  If a student graduates with unused SFD, and no younger sibling is in the program, the funds revert back to FBMPA.
