# Privacy Policy for Freedom Units — Anything But Metric

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Freedom Units — Anything But Metric does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data, browsing history, or website content.

Measurements entered in the popup or selected through the context menu are processed on the user's device. The most recent measurement, its result, and the selected conversion style are stored locally in Chrome so the result can be reopened. This information is never sent to the developer or any third party. Users can delete it by removing the extension or clearing the extension's local data.

If a user explicitly chooses “Scan page,” the extension reads visible text on the active webpage to locate supported measurements and adds temporary highlights. Page text is processed only on the user's device, is not saved, and is not transmitted. The extension does not scan pages automatically.

The extension does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, remote code, or third-party services.

Before publication, replace this paragraph with a monitored support email address for privacy questions.
