Freedom Motors was founded out of a lifelong passion for vehicles and a desire to offer a more honest, personal way of selling cars.
After living in England for 16 years, where I served 8 years in the British Army with deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, I returned to South Africa and eventually worked as a construction site foreman. Although it was steady work, my real interest had always been cars.
My early experience in the UK involved sourcing and importing classic vehicles from South Africa, which strengthened my understanding of the automotive market and deepened my passion for vehicles of all kinds.
After returning home, I became part of Joshua Generation Church, where I was encouraged to pursue what I truly enjoy. I made the decision to leave my job, sell our Nissan Qashqai, and start small by buying and selling two vehicles.
Over time, something unexpected happened — more and more people began trusting me to sell their vehicles on their behalf instead of me buying them directly. That shift made it clear that consignment selling was the right path forward.
Today, Freedom Motors focuses on helping private owners sell their vehicles for the best possible market-related price, without the pressure and limitations of trade-ins or dealership sales. I only earn a commission for the work involved in marketing, managing, and completing the sale.
What I value most is the relationship with each client. From families emigrating to pensioners no longer driving, every vehicle has a story — and most of my clients come through referrals from people who have experienced that process firsthand.
I take time with each vehicle to ensure it is properly presented, and where needed, I will recommend or assist with small improvements to help achieve the best possible outcome.
At Freedom Motors, the focus is simple: fair pricing, honest service, and doing right by the owner of every vehicle I represent.
