TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The Girls Flag and Boys 7on7 Tournaments will consist of Pool Play followed by a single elimination bracketed tournament. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games (Weather permitting). A rain plan is in place with adjustments to games and times as 6 of the 8 Fields have lights. There will be a $5 entry fee for spectators and Concession stands will be open for players, spectators and guests. Food will not be provided. Please bring 1–2 tents per team, as shaded areas are limited Participants will need to sign a liability waiver. These waivers will need to be printed, signed and provided upon check-in. Certified officials will be in place for each game throughout the tournaments. In game wearables (GoRout, Armilla, Catapult) will be permitted. Safety headgear is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED but will not be mandatory. Hotel room blocks are available at nearby accommodations. RULES
1. 7 defenders (may not line up 8 & drop one before snap) and 6 offensive players (must use a center).
2. Each possession starts on the 40 yard line – going in.
3. First downs are made by crossing the 20 yard line and the 10 yard line.
4. 3 downs to make a first down; even inside the 10 yard line.
5. PAT snaps are at the 5 yard line, offensive choice of hash. No 2 point conversions allowed in pool play. 2 point conversions will be from the 10 yard line with choice of hash in tournament play (if chosen).
6. 4.0 seconds to get pass off. It will be a loss of down and treated as a sack if not thrown in time (4.01 or greater). Play will continue if whistle isn't blown prior to pass, but will count as a sack if determined to be over 4.0 seconds.
*Passes may be thrown behind the line of scrimmage but receiver must advance beyond L.O.S.
**Fumbled snap is a live ball. The play is not blown dead. Still have 4 seconds to complete pass. All other fumbles are down where they occur.
7. 4 second clock starts on snap of the ball and stops when the QB releases the ball.
8. Possession changes after PAT attempt, failure to make a first down, or turnover. m
9. Games are 20:00 long. The clock runs continuous during the 20 minutes with no stoppage in the last minute of play.
10. Overtime in tournament play consists of 3 plays from the 10 yard line. Each team has an attempt to score in each overtime period.
Starting with the 3rd and subsequent overtimes, all PAT’s must be 2 point attempts from the 10 yard line. Overtime periods are not timed.
11. One time-out per team per game. One additional time-out per overtime.
12. All offensive formations must be legal sets. No more than 4 men off the LOS.
13. 30 seconds to get the play off. This will be kept by the officials on the field.
14. One-hand touch anywhere.
15. No running plays allowed.
16. No double passes or shuffle passes.
17. Only 1 coach on the field on Offense only, Defense and all other coaches must coach from the sidelines.
18. All players must wear exactly the same color uniform, preferably with a number identifying the player.
20. Scoring:
● Touchdown - 6 points
● Interception - 3 points (no points for INT on PAT)
● Turnover on downs - 3 points
● PAT- 1 point (may opt for 2 in OT)
21. Penalties:
Defense pass interference = Automatic first down and 5 yards from original line of scrimmage.
Offense pass interference = Previous spot and loss of down.
Defensive holding = Automatic first down and 5 yards from original line of scrimmage.
Illegal procedure (offense) = Loss of down.
Defensive off-sides = 5 yard penalty.
Delay of game = Loss of down.
Delay of start of game- If a team is late for the ready for play at scheduled time will then be penalized 5 yards or loss of
down for each 25 seconds after scheduled time.
Fighting / unsportsmanlike conduct: 1st offense = ejection from game. 2nd offense = ejection from tournament.
Fighting / unsportsmanlike conduct (team): if any player leaves the sideline to participate in an on-field fight, the ENTIRE TEAM WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE TOURNAMENT. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.
Personal Foul: Offense = loss of down and 5 yards from original line of scrimmage. Defense = 1st down and 5 yards from original line of scrimmage.
In the event there is a defensive personal foul on a touchdown scoring play, the offensive team will have the option of moving the PAT half the distance to the goal or making the other team begin at 2nd down upon the change of possession. If it occurs on a successful PAT, there is no option.
The other team will begin the next possession at 2nd down. If there is defensive holding and a sack on the same play, the defense will be
penalized according to the above and the sack will be ignored.
