There are certainly good reasons for wanting to change the current theme programmatically. E.g. an automated test tool may need to switch between various themes to make sure the application works correctly with all of them.

I have been experimenting about changing the windows theme via command line and I learned that by executing the theme file it is being applied by the Windows 10 as well. So in your batch file, you could use one of the following lines:

Please note the path to the theme files might be needed to adjust depending on your system user configuration. I strongly advise saving your themes with names excluding spaces as it makes much easier moving forward. Executing such line leaving you with the Settings window opened. I want to make remastered ubuntu for my task. and now I got problem with theme, icon, and wallpaper. actually I've install numix theme and wallpaper and remaster my Ubuntu with REMASTERSYS and after I test it in VM, the numix theme is there. but when I install numix bluish theme and it's icons, the remastered Ubuntu still display numix theme like a previous one. also, someone told me that the default wallpaper folder is at /usr/share/backgrounds so I put my costumized wallpaper there so I can use it for my remastered Ubuntu but the wallpaper still numix. do I miss something? sorry for bad english

This extension allows for the desktop to be themed in further ways than default. Many themes and extensions can be installed from opendesktop.org, among others. This extension is installed by default in Pop!_OS, and can be added to Ubuntu 18.04.
