So I was wondering the other day, why the theme song changed throughout the seasons. My personal favorite was the one from the first season, even though the Pilot one had a few differences that made it even better. I feel like the theme song after Season 3 started feeling kinda hollow, emphasizing on the non dominant parts of the songs. For example, the music is louder and more intense before the repetitive part where the title of the show appears which is incredibly weird. I also dislike the changes or rather additions of other instruments compared to the original score. The opening of the Gauntlet (season 1 episode 4) was incredibly well composed and is up to this day my favorite piece of the series. "Line in the Sand" was recorded in May 2003 for the newly formed alliance Evolution, consisting of Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton. The song was recorded by Motrhead, the band, who has also sung two of Triple H's entrance themes, "The Game" and "King of Kings". The song became the entrance theme for the stable. It used to be the entrance when 2-4 members came to the ring together. During a one-on-one match, Triple H, Flair and Batista would each use their own entrances, while Orton would also use "Line in the Sand" as his entrance, until he was kicked out of the group in August 2004. The song was included in WWE's 2004 soundtrack album, ThemeAddict: The Music, Vol. 6. The group continued the use of the song, until its end in 2005.

The song was used by Evolution again, when Triple H, Flair and Batista reunited the stable for one-night only in December 2007. As a result, the song was included in WWE's 2007 compilation album, Raw Greatest Hits: The Music. It is also featured in the video games WWE 13 and WWE 2K15.

Degrassi has been running in Canada since 1979, and in that time it has had a lot of different opening themes. I mean a lot. Have you seen those compilations on YouTube? They run upwards of fifteen minutes! You can put that thing on loop for hours and have some solid jams.

It perfectly nails the tone of the show. What it lacks in polished visuals it more than makes up for with a catchy song. A song that invites you into this world. A song that lets you know these random 80s-riffic kids are about to face some hard times, but friendship will get them through it all.

It sounds better, too. While I love the Degrassi Junior High theme, its age shows. This one is more timeless. The instrumentals have changed but these base lyrics have pretty much stayed with the show to this day. You can see why. The song is an anthem not only to the characters but the audience as well and it says it all with the first line.

As the show struggled to find a direction, so did its opening theme. I praised the last theme for inviting the viewer into Degrassi. Being a part of it. This opening puts you at arms length. What am I watching? A generic soap opera? Where did the lyrics go? What is this?

The song has now switched back to a female singer and it perfectly reflects how much the show has shifted to a female driven series. It was subtle over the years but the more recent seasons have put the girls in the spotlight and having a female lead singer is perfect for that.

In the new preview, young Anemone and Eureka appear along with Dominic plus a new and mysterious massive life-form. The theme song heard is performed by RUANN, a singer who is also a junior high school student.

The Undertaker paid tribute to Jim Johnston who composed the iconic theme that The Deadman walks out to. The Undertaker credited Johnston for his long run with the company and complimented him on his creativity.

The Undertaker also discussed which of his theme songs he felt brought out the most energy from the crowd. Of course, by popular demand, fans would think it would be his original theme song. However, The Undertaker specifically pointed out to two of his themes. One by Limp Bizkit and the other by Kid Rock.

The Undertaker will be bidding farewell to the WWE Universe at Survivor Series this Sunday. He is one of the legends who will definitely never be forgotten, and his iconic theme songs are a part of that legend as well.

The point of a music score is to illustrate what's going on in a character's head and in their heart.
