So I just changed from a S6 to an S9 plus. I can't figure out how to get animated wallpapers to work on my home screen. I can get them to work on the lock screen but they only show a still frame snapshot on the homescreen. I've tried animated themes from Samsung and play store live wallpapers but no animation. Is this something the S9 does not do? I also found it crazy I had to download a third party app just to get my screen to rotate 180 degrees (I like my headphone jack at the top of my phone.)

I have downloaded Zedge and I am trying to use some cool live wallpapers on my S24Ultra, but they don't seem to work... They always appear as a static image... Am I missing something, or have anything activated to prevent them from working? TIA!

We all have galleries full of photos and videos of our loved ones, and those pictures often make the best Home screen wallpapers. However, if you want to step it up a notch, Galaxy phones and tablets also let you set videos as your lock screen! Now you can display your family and friends live in action.

See, I managed to get a running GIF (live wallpaper) by using the option Use On Both, when choosing the wallpaper. Here's the kicker, and the reason for my frustration: The new One UI does not have that option anymore when setting up a wallpaper, if you still have the option, then I will factory reset my phone and have One UI reinstall, maybe it was a broken update process, but it's highly unlikely.

It doesn't even let me use the wallpapers that I bought from the Galaxy Store, it only allows the default theme one, from my gallery (images only) or colours (for the home screen).

For a while I was looking for a similar problem in reviews of popular live wallpapers. I found similar reviews only for one application. I updated my phone today. All my live wallpapers stopped working as expected. Then I installed "Earth & Moon" and this app works fine. It means that we are doing something wrong or, on the contrary, we are not doing something :) In the near future I will begin to investigate this problem.

Yes, I use live wallpapers and animated lock screens... Of course the battery will be used faster... Is quite a lot of processing power to do so, however if you're not constantly checking your lock screen, or just fiddling around on your home screen, the wallpaper itself isn't technically using battery

To set videos as live wallpapers on an Android device, you'll need to install a third-party app like Video to Wallpaper. The app is quite simple to use, and the overall setup process is pretty self-explanatory. Here's how to use it:

The live wallpaper should now appear on your homescreen and/or lockscreen based on your selection. You can follow the same steps to change the live wallpaper whenever you please. All the live wallpapers you pick in step 4 will appear on the app's homescreen for easy access, so you'll be able to switch between them without following steps 2 and 3 every time.

Video to Wallpaper is one of the simplest apps you can use to set videos as live wallpapers on your Android phone. I picked it over the other apps mentioned below for one simple reason: It's ad-free. If you're looking for an app that offers more controls and customization options or is easier to use, you should check out the alternatives mentioned below.

And that brings us to the end of this guide in which we've highlighted some ways to use the videos and GIF images in your gallery as live wallpapers on your Android phone. You're going to need a third-party application to set a video as a live wallpaper on your phone unless you have a Samsung Galaxy phone that lets you do it without an app. If I had to pick just one app out of the lot, I would go with the Video to Wallpaper app as it is extremely simple to use. But the Any Video Live Wallpaper app is also a decent alternative.

I was annoyed by the exact same problem, so I have programmed an app that automatically saves your wallpapers and your live wallpapers too. It makes it easy to revert to a previous wallpaper. It is called Wallpaper Saver, by Appdictive, and it's free in the Play Store. (It does not require root access.)

If you have an iPhone and there are videos that you want to turn into live wallpapers, you have options. However, you'll have to first convert those videos to live photos. From there, you'll be able to find the live photo in your library and set it as your wallpaper.

For some of you who have their own fav wallpapers or live wallpapers....as you can see Samsung didn't give you much of a choice, their papers or none.....all the live wp's I've bought and are constantly updated would have NOT been available if I wasn't using Nova Launcher since my Note 4. Christmas HD and Haunted House HD are among my holiday favs....check out Play, they are cool....I ONLY know what I've experienced....I had a Note 5 and soon as I activated the Note 7 and signed on to Google, a popup screen came up recognizing my Note 5, and did I want to transfer from it....I also used Smart Switch .....tech supp suggested using Google backup/restore option also.....back to wp's.....by transferring all my apps along w/ Nova launchers, I imported my backed up Launchers settings and walla, LOTS of tweakings were in place. Long press the screen or the "back" icon brings up the menus available on the Note 5 and I have access to all the live wallpapers I've purchased.

Samsung, a global leader in smartphone innovation, offers a plethora of customization options for its users. Among the standout features that have garnered attention is the ability to set live wallpapers. These dynamic backgrounds can elevate the user experience, making every swipe and tap a visual journey. If you're a Samsung user eager to dive into the world of live wallpapers, this guide is your key.

With the advancement of smartphones, live wallpapers have greatly improved. What once used to be a bit of snow falling down the screen has now evolved into very complex animations, with some that are even susceptible to your interaction with them.

XDA Developers member ftgg99 has now added to the interactive LWP world, with Ditalix (named after a Star Trek planet), available in the Google Play store for free. It brings a load of interactive live wallpapers to your device, sensitive to swipes, finger-tapping, and other multi-touch gestures.

Not only are there preset live wallpapers for you to choose from, but you can also use your own images to create background palettes. You can then mess around with the settings to create awesome new themes.

The background canvas of the app is very large (2600 pixels), making the stock images pretty heavy, but extremely high in quality. The live wallpapers work best with devices that have high resolution screens, including the Nexus 4, 7 and 10, Samsung Galaxy S3, and the Galaxy Note 2.

Forget regular backgrounds. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab has live wallpapers, which are essentially backgrounds for your homescreen, but with a lively feel. It reacts to you. But if you want to change it, you can, and this is how you do on the Android OS. Press MENU < WALLPAPER < LIVE WALLPAPER and then browse and select the one you want. The click SET WALLPAPER to save it.

As long as I'm on a kick with live wallpapers, I figured I should show you guys one of the biggest and best, Earth Live Wallpaper. And trust me, I know what you're thinking. "Live wallpaper, again?" Trust me, you'll like it.

Every phone these days has a wallpaper, but sometimes those wallpapers can get pretty boring. Many users are looking to do something a little different, so they look into adding live wallpapers instead. Live wallpapers are interactive wallpapers that you can use on your Android home screen, and getting them is so easy.

There are only a few different live wallpapers available by default on most Android devices. Fortunately, there are thousands more live wallpapers available from the Google Play Store. Here are some of the best live wallpapers I recommend: 0852c4b9a8
