About me
Before beginning my career in education, I proudly served in the United States Navy, where I graduated as the valedictorian of my DT A-School. As a combat medic, I earned multiple honors, including the Good Conduct and National Defense Medals. My military service instilled in me discipline, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to excellence—values that continue to shape my approach to teaching. After transitioning to civilian life, I dedicated myself to education, believing in its power to transform lives.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, graduating as the top student in my department with specializations in Political Science, History, and Geography. My teaching journey began with the New York City Department of Education, where I gained invaluable experience in classroom instruction and test preparation.
Today, I provide personalized tutoring and homework support for students in grades 3 through 8, specializing in a wide range of standardized tests. These include the New York State and Citywide exams in Math, English (ELA), and Science, as well as Regents exams in Algebra 1, Geometry, Living Environment, U.S. History & Government, Global History, and English. Inspired by my own experiences as a specialized high school student, I developed a passion for helping DREAM students excel on the SHSAT and achieve their academic aspirations.
With a track record of proven results, I am dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential. When you choose me as a tutor, you’re ensuring your child receives expert guidance, personalized support, and the tools they need to succeed.
