You can specify options that control how the regular expression engine interprets a regular expression pattern. Many of these options can be specified either inline (in the regular expression pattern) or as one or more RegexOptions constants. This quick reference lists only inline options. For more information about inline and RegexOptions options, see the article Regular Expression Options.

It functions much like the Quick Styles gallery in Word for quickly applying formatting to text. But whereas one can create a new text style and add it to the Quick Styles gallery, I haven't been able to find a way to do the same with the Picture Styles gallery. The default styles aren't what I need, and the styles I do need involve changing multiple settings, so a shortcut would be nice. Am I stuck just using the copy-paste format options?

I have a spreadsheet that I update frequently. I'd like to move it from my local folder to a Teams/Files folder. If the file is in Teams, can I create a desktop shortcut to the file so I can open it quickly?

This one lets you quickly copy an object. Select the object, then hold control and drag it away with your mouse. You can do this as many times as you want, and this can be faster than hitting Control C to copy and Control V to paste (or Control D to duplicate).

With the slide selected in the Navigation Pane, just hold the Control key while selecting the up or down arrows. Use this shortcut to quickly navigate through the presentation without having to use the mouse or enter Slide Sorter view.

Simultaneously hitting the Control, Shift, and Equals Sign keys (AKA Control and the Plus Sign) will let you create footnotes quickly and easily. No more searching for footnotes and copying them into your presentation!

Similar to shortcut #36, this shortcut will help you move to the end or the beginning of a text box quickly. Hit Control + End to go to the end, or Control + Home to go to the beginning.

This shortcut allows you to quickly cycle between the different objects on a slide. Just hit the Tab key to move forward through the objects, or Shift + Tab to move backward through the objects (they are in order of when they were placed on the slide).

Use this shortcut to quickly and easily edit the storyline of your presentation. Hit Control + Shift + Tab to edit the titles of each of your slides directly without having to click on each slide individually.

By adding the Shape Outline command, you can quickly get access to all its additional options, including the Dash options and the Arrow options (for adding and removing arrow heads to your lines).

With a background in management consulting, I have worked intensively in Microsoft Office. With years of spending upwards of 50+ hours a week in Office, any tweaks to make life easier are more than welcome. The Quick Access Toolbar is one such tweak, which lets you quickly access commonly used functions that may otherwise be tedious to find and use.

The Quick Access Toolbar is a command line that appears either above or below the main ribbon tabs in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. The Quick Access Toolbar grants direct (quick) access to a set of desired commands in a toolbar that is always visible no matter which ribbon tab is selected.

Keyboard shortcuts can also be of great help when it comes to quickly navigating throughout your presentation. The following shortcuts will enable you to select multiple objects on your slides, or move the slides inside the presentation.

What you need to do is quickly press the Alt + V keyboard shortcut to bring the View tab of the Ribbon in focus, and then press the D key immediately thereafter. So you would use the Alt + V > D sequence to get to Slide Sorter view.

Your quick access toolbar should now show up directly above your PowerPoint workspace. Now, click on the dropdown menu arrow on the right of that toolbar to bring up your customizable menu. Then, select more commands.

To add a command, simply select your option from the left box by clicking on it, and then click Add. It now appears on the list on the right (your quick access toolbar list). To remove a command, click on the command in the right box that you want to remove. Then click Remove.

Once you get used to your quick access commands, you might want to use the option on the toolbar dropdown menu that says Hide Command Labels. This removes all words from the toolbar, allowing you to add quite a few more commands.

This opens the Animations tab so that you can add animations to your presentations. Again, having quick access to add features to your slideshow can speed up your total project and save you a lot of endless clicking around.

Thank you very much for your very useful blog. Your screen capture seems to be larger than a regular powerpoint (720*540) and fills the whole Articulate player screen (980*560). Can you tell us how to do that ?
