It wasn't just the GTAVI.com that Take-Two renewed its domain for gtavicecityonline.com, reports GamesRadar -- making the recent rumors of GTA 6 being in Vice City make sense -- it looks like it's not GTA 6 in Vice City, but rather GTA: Vice City Online?

The Los Santos Tuners update has re-invigorated much of the community by adding new missions, events, and locations to the virtual city of San Andreas. With a street racing theme, the update has added new racing contracts and the brand new Auto Shop, where players can display, customize and display their cars. All of this is run through the brand new GTA Online location, the LS Car Meet. Although it does cost a fairly hefty sum for players to access the LS Car Meet, the new content added with the Los Santos Tuners update has clearly been welcomed by the community. Especially the car-enthusiasts.

"Rockstar appear to tease what looks like a map that includes Florida and Mexico in the latest GTA 5 racing DLC's circuit packs," writes the user. "Strengthening the rumours that GTA VI will be set in Vice City (Miami, Florida) and Southern American city/countries. GTA VI(CE) City seems like the title."

Here we see the explosive final mission of GTAIII reimagined as a Deathmatch alongside the Land Act Dam. Extra points awarded for authenticity here as JIIThe_JokerIIK has carefully placed props to match Claude's final showdown with the Colombian Cartel. We recommend seizing control of the Buzzard quickly to gain the edge if you're playing this with one with your Crew.

After Carl Johnson spurned the dangerous affections of Catalina in San Andreas, she pit her new boyfriend (a certain strong, silent type) against CJ in a race around Red County. In his GTA Online remake, iLewisGTA has selected Coupes as the default vehicle for authenticity and really nailed the tight, slippery corners of the original circuit around The Panopticon in Red County. A major Rockstar fan, Lewis had made a bunch of Throwback Jobs that you can check out on his Social Club profile.

Top marks for authenticity go to thewolfking90 for this Race, which nicely captures the feel of its inspiration - the High Stakes, Low Rider mission in San Andreas. Set to Muscle Cars and finishing up at Del Perro Pier, you can almost feel Cesar Vialpando bearing down on your rear bumper. The choice to set West Coast Classics as the default radio station is a lovely nod to the classic wessyde vibe as well.

Keeping an MMO alive is tough. Unless you're World of Warcraft, the cost of producing new content, patching bugs, providing customer service, and maintaining servers starts to outweigh the money trickling in, especially if your game is built around the outdated subscription model. In recent years, games like Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes, and LEGO Universe have all bitten the digital dust, their plugs pulled despite the best efforts of their small but dedicated fan bases. Disappointing as it is, it all comes down to money, and within the MMO space, there's only so much to go around.

Two weeks after The Matrix Online had officially shut down, MXOEmu was born. Headed up by Rajko, MXOEmu aimed to bring MxO back through the power of emulation, and to prove it wasn't all hot air, Rajko released a proof-of-concept MxO 'server' constructed from the packets he'd collected. Players couldn't do much other than log in and look around, but that didn't matter. Less than a month after it had been disconnected, the Matrix was back online.

His first target was the game's maps, the blueprints of MxO's city. Deciphering these complex files took many long months, thanks in large part to the proprietary Discovery engine MxO was built in. With no published documentation, and a coding style that Rajko describes as 'extremely obtuse', Discovery caused Rajko no end of frustration. He often found himself 'chasing trails all over the place' just trying to figure out what the code was doing. Unwilling to admit defeat, he pressed on, and his persistence eventually paid off. He cracked the map files. MXOEmu 2.0 had a city. The only problem was, it was a city without anything in it.

Desolate streets stretch out before me, stitching together this dead city with the faintest pulse of life. My surroundings feel almost apocalyptic, a vision of post-humanity truer than any Fallout or Wasteland. There is no one to talk to, no quests to take, no enemies to fight.

As I wander aimlessly through this forgotten place, I catch echoes of the life that once thrived here. I enter a nightclub sheathed in neon, where a thumping bass line drives away the cemetery silence of the city outside. NPCs mingle by the bar and get groovy on the dance floor, re-enacting memories of a time long past as if to bring it back. Compelled to oblige them, I step out onto the dance floor and strut my stuff, posing for the DJ as he spins the same records he's been spinning for over ten years now.

Leaving the club and returning to the streets, I feel like the city has changed in my absence. It seems more vibrant than before, its emptiness dulled by my encounter with another human being. I trot forward and a flock of pigeons scatters into the sky. I'm as startled as they are: This sudden burst of life is a keen reminder of what this place once was, and what it might be again someday.

The idea of a new online GTA game taking place in one of its most infamous settings, Vice City (which is based off of the real life city of Miami, Florida) is certainly exciting, and while recent reports suggest GTA 6 is a long ways off, that doesn't count out the possibility of a huge expansion for GTA Online in the near future.

Those rumors were started when another leaked map showed a city section with the number 1985 over it. The shape of this new map is fueling those rumors because it appears to show different sections of the same map.

The project leaders talked to a legal expert who is working with GitHub before filing the counterclaim, but the threat of legal action remains. So far, so good, which means aap and co's work, which was years in the making, is online again. 0852c4b9a8
