I spent about 2 days trying to get media player music transferred to my usb stick to play music in my car. Media Player would not recognise usb as a syncable device. The only way I could find to do this is probably a round-a-bout way but at least it worked. I have Windows 7

I have the very same problem Dannefel has. Despite all the ideas that came up, none worked for me. I wish I could format the sansa player, but how to format something that is not recognised as a usb device on the first place ?

I am unable to try reformatting my player because when I connect to my computer, while it is recognized (not as SansaClip like it used to be, but as Removable Disk F: I cannot right click on the link to that drive. It locks up my explorer panel - essentially just hangs and I have to force a close of my Explorer window.

Have a look at the definition for "value" and you will probably see something

which means that the \\ are defined as separating characters but you could just as well take any other character. Foobar, I think, takes the semicolon as separator

The point I try to make: as there as so few players that actually the real multi-value fields, there are some players that interpret special characters in a single-value field as separator and display the items separated like that as individual items.

I know that e.g. WMP use the semicolon in ARTIST, GENRE, ALBUMARTIST and COMPOSER to create individual entries.

E.g. Stock; Aitken; Waterman would show an entry under A for Aitken, one under S for Stock and one under W for Waterman.

And all this without a multi-value field.

So it could be that there are other players around that do it like that.

And whatever the implementation would be: MP3tag can help you to set the right format.

Totem movie player has some nice visualisations that can be enabled via edit > preferences > display (see the second screenshot below). You can start the visualisations by playing a music track (when that option is is set in the preferences) and pause them by pausing the music track. There are many different visualisations to choose from and different effects can be combined.

I don't think that they respond to the beat of the music (i.e. get more frenzied as the tempo increases), but perhaps something like audiosurf might become available if Steam makes good its promise and comes to Ubuntu.

Recently my Watch got an update. Since then the Watch has trouble showing the music player I use on my phone. I either use S2 or Youtubw Music. As I have seen Youtube Music is no problem, but S2 is a problem. Before the update the Watch never had problem showing S2 on the Watch, but now it's seldom happening. i have the same problem. No matter what i played on mobile, nothing happen on my watch 4 screen. i think it was happen after 2 recent updates. Before that, when i played video on youtube, music on spotify or YTmusic, my watch alway pop the media up and i can fully control on watch. Now it was just annoying, im using smart watch but still have to manually open media player on it

I have developed an app to time my exercise. When I play an internal sound "one minute" to notify my exercise period has one minute to go it causes my external (default) music player to pause. I want to find a way to prevent the player from pausing.

I have music running on my default Phone Music app and I want to player sounds (short) within my MIT app inventor app without it causing my (external to MIT) music from being put into pause mode

external = outside my MIT app. "Sound" is the name of the app. Came with the phone and I use it to play my music. It is a separate app on the phone and is not inside my app ??????

Pretty sure OP's saying that they're playing music from the phone through an app, but when they start the Player component, the audio being played from outside the app pauses. It does seem pretty difficult to explain tbh...

If you program a music player in App Inventor there is the event OtherPlayerStarted, which can be used to pause the music or not

Let's say I'm listening to text to speech audio from an Android app. I want to have some low volume instrumental music playing at the same time in another app. (Both apps allow simultaneous playback.)

The problem is that the music is too loud, and makes it difficult to hear what is being spoken by the text to speech. If I try to turn the volume of my current music player down, the whole Android system audio will be turned down, including the text to speech. Obviously, this defeats the purpose.

Usually with a music app, the music player will show up on your lock screen allowing basic controls. It'll show up for me when I first turn my phone on, but after that it goes away and doesn't come back. I already checked my lock screen and notification settings, I feel like this is tied to whatever bug is fading out the skip and repeat buttons too. Please look into it, I relied heavily on this feature and I'll probably go back to Amazon or Spotify if it doesn't get fixed.

Most people playing music can agree music is just another language to have a conversation and express the things they want to say. Because after all, music can convey and cause happiness, sadness, melancholy and so many other emotions. But the problem for a lot of players is, that it takes them a long time to be able to express themselves on their instrument. So what causes this? It probably has to do a lot with the way we study music.

If we want to practice with someone else, we usually need to find someone of our own level to do this with, no expert will waste time on a musical baby! Also, instead of developing a feeling for the language gradually, one of the first things we do is open a book about all the grammar (music theory) that we should keep in account, learn it and use it as rules to limit ourselves in the way we play music.
