The Foundation for Reaching Educational Equality (FREE) is a Miami-based nonprofit tutoring service that is dedicated to ending educational inequality by providing accessible and effective educational support to underserved communities. Our mission is to empower students of all ages and backgrounds with the tools they need to succeed academically and beyond. We believe that education is a fundamental human right and that every student deserves access to quality resources and opportunities.
Through our personalized, online tutoring programs, we strive to close the achievement gap by addressing the unique needs of each student while considering their background, personalized concerns, and needs. We work to combat the root causes of educational inequality, such as poverty, inadequate resources, and systemic discrimination, by providing each student with an equal yet personalized approach to receiving the best education. Our approach is holistic and collaborative, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships between tutors, students, and families.
Hi everyone! I'm Sindhu, the founder of FREE Miami, and I’m part of the graduating class of 2025 at Ransom Everglades High School in Miami, FL. My areas of expertise include Spanish and English literature, biology, chemistry, and K-12 math.
When I’m not tutoring, I coach and compete in Public Forum debate, play the violin, write for my school newspaper, play tennis, and learn new languages.
Last summer, I participated in NSLIY, where I studied Mandarin in Taipei as part of a state-department sponsored program. Over spring break, I volunteered at Nicklaus Children's Hospital's VACC Camp for ventilator assisted children. This summer, I received a research grant, so I'll return to Taipei to film a documentary on Mandarin linguistics.
I love learning, and hope to share this love with anybody who asks. I know everybody deserves equal educational opportunities, and I’m thrilled to be part of leveling the playing field!
Hey! I'm Michael, and I'm currently a junior at Ransom Everglades High School, graduating class of 2025. I'm a proud Latinx tutor, and my areas of expertise are STEM-related subjects, especially chemistry and algebra.
When I'm not tutoring, I love coaching Varsity Congressional Debate for my high school team. It's incredibly rewarding to help students develop their public speaking and critical thinking skills. I'm passionate about education and want to do more to give back to my community. This summer, I’ll be competing in the national speech and debate tournament in Phoenix.
I've also volunteered as a lab assistant to support my school's chemistry department. And, in my free time, I've been learning Chinese and the Java programming language.
I'm excited to share my knowledge and skills with anyone who needs my help. Let's work together to make a positive impact in our community!
