Free |BEST| Metronome Download For Iphone

I am trying to build a simple metronome app and I am wondering if there is any sample code or open source projects out there to learn from. I think apple used to have it but not any more. I figure it should not be that hard but I am curious to see how to load the audio, how to set timer and loop the audio accordingly. Any help much appreciated.

This is a metronome project that I've made previously, It's fairly simple but It should help, If you use it just reference me, Jordan Brown 15y Mango Apps. It took a while to do but never made an app out of it.

Pros:

You can just hit the song you need and it will give you the correct timing and BPM for it.

Cons:

Although the free version of the metronome for iOS has a good interface, there are lots of missing features that you can find on other free apps.

However, this quickly loses its initial appeal after a few uses. since the whole point of using a software metronome is to get away from the hassle of a mechanical one. We also noticed that ads often pop-up.

Looking to buy a new tuner and metronome. I was thinking about splurging for a good tuner (any to recommend?), but perhaps use my cellphone as a metronome? Do you guys know of any good iphone apps that would act as a good metronome? Thanks a bunch ?

I did get a Peterson tuner and it is nearly useless. I had to use my Korg with it to verify the pitches, the dials were moving so much. Oddly, different tuners do produce a slightly different overall flavor. I doubt I will ever buy an Apple product in my life. I see my friends constantly go through conniptions with their devices, tablets, and constant problems. No way. Now, I mostly use my oldest, simplest Korg. I clip the pick-up onto the brass handle of the harp for the bass and middle, and clip it to the top end of the brass plate for the highest notes. So, I recommend the cheapest tuner you can get with a needle display. The Matrix metronome with the dial is still the best for practicing with. You can change tempos quickly and easily, and it is easy to hear, fairly sturdy. Digital metronomes require constant button pushing, and complex rhythms are more complex to set up than to practice. As for the sweetening of the Peterson, the stretch tuning settings were interesting to find out, but not worth the $150 price tag. I use my own stretching system, thank you. The ear works best.

I've got an app on my phone called time trainer. It's a metronome that is perfect for when I use it. you can change the sound it uses for the beats and set the meter of beats from 0 to I forget how high so when it is set to 0 there is no down beat on one, it just keeps beating which is what I use.

Really important note: if your monitoring a metronome alone in one ear and are surrounded by instruments playing at a high volume, please please please use your preferred option for protection in your other ear so that you have isolation on both sides. The brain gets used to isolation after a while, so if you're not equally protected on both sides, you'll find yourself cranking the metronome up unnecessarily, and those short sharp click sounds can do irreversible damage over time.

I have a zoom r16 that I record with, and I want to sync it with my ipad (to use arpist and samplr). The r16 can output a metronome on a seperate headphones output, and I can run that into my ipad with a microphone in cable, are there any apps that can listen to a metronome (not a click track but a tick tick tock metronome), subdivide the track by 4 and act as a midi clock source?
