Hi, I have itunes downloaded using windows vista and all my 4S backups are on the computer, now I have bought a 5S and can not access the updates because it says 5S is not compatible with the itunes version on Vista and it will only work with Windows 7 or higher which I do not have. What can I do to sync all my data that I have stored on my computer to update my new 5S. There must be a solution.
I can no longer connect to the iTunes store. When I try it spends a long time trying to connect but ultimately fails. When I click on "Help" I'm told that iTunes is not connected to the internet. I have a wired connection to the internet that is working just fine. How do I connect to the iTunes store with my older version of windows so that I can continue to use my working devices that WILL NOT work with newer versions of iTunes?

This no longer works in iOS15 and the latest itunes. Although it will copy your app over, on your iphone it starts installing then says "must be installed from app store." If the app is no longer there in the store, it will not install and the app will be useless (Showing with the cloud download button, which won't work).

After I bought a 6th gen classic and started syncing it with iTunes 12.x (I forgot what version specifically) iTunes just wanted to not work with me, especially the apple music part since I have my libraries synced up. It also wouldn't let me re add music to albums that wouldn't sync to the library. So I was wondering if there's an older version that could work with windows that doesn't deal with apple music and allows me to access the iTunes store, I know iTunes 9 is a fan favorite but even in compatibility mode I couldn't get it to work.
I had similar problems where itunes wasn't detecting my 1G ipod touch, however I just downloaded the latest version of itunes (itunes 12.10.3.1) just to see what happens and to my surprise, it detected my 1st generation ipod touch. I think Apple fixed the issue.

That worked perfectly thank you, the link takes you to the itunes site which explains how to uninstall various other programs IN A SET ORDER and then re-boot. Once done, you can install the older version and, as shown above delete the i-tunes library.tl file
My experience of itunes12 has been a nightmare.obgc.dll in application support part of itunes is causing itunes to crash everytime i check my purchase history.this happens in all versions of 12.doesnt happen in 11.4 so i may end up going back to that.
Hello Steve, I am having a problem installing any older versions of iTunes. It works if I re install iTunes v.12 but, on any other versions it stops and reverses the process near the end, I am using windows 8 btw thanks! pls reply
Thank you very much. I was able to uninstall itunes 12.2 (which gave me a headache coz apple drivers had an error 52) and install 12.1.1 even though i lost my playlist, preferences and music rating but everything else works fine.
I installed itunes 12.3 on my computer and updated the iphone 4 to ios 7.1. Now when I used your method to downgrade the itunes 12.3 to earlier version itunes 10.7 I get an error message that iPhone cannot be used since it requires itunes 11.1 or later.
