I'm trying to load paid fonts onto Photoscape and only a select amount of them are actually showing on the program. I've also checked other apps like word and it's a similar situation. My font books shows them as uploaded. Any ideas?

Shouldn't make the slightest difference. But just to make sure, I tried some new OpenType TrueType fonts, and some ancient (really ancient) .ttf fonts from the Windows 3.1 era. Both worked as expected.

What fonts are you trying to activate? That is, do they possibly conflict with those already installed by the OS? And, how are you trying to activate them? Font Book? Some other third party font manager?

The specific fonts are "Vintage Forge Regular" (the other fonts in the family uploaded w/o issue.) and SP Blunt Regular (again, two others within the family uploaded fine). My font book shows that they alluploaded, but when I restart Photoscape to actually use them, they aren't all showing in my selection of choices.

Do you think it's possible that both fonts didn't package correctly? The fonts came from a designer that purchased on my behalf when doing work for me. I'm grasping at straws here, but thinking about purchasing again directly and seeing what happens

You don't need to worry about me keeping a set for myself. Having been in prepress for over 40 years, I have at least 18,000 purchased fonts I almost never use for myself. They're all to have my own legal copies for working on client projects.

Thank you, Kate. Got the fonts and have looked them over. There is one very minor error in one of the fonts, and even that depends on how you want to look at it. But it's not enough to make any real difference.

Since I couldn't find any notable errors with the build of the fonts, I then simply tried them with a bunch of apps. Photoshop, TextEdit, SoftMaker Office, VivaDesigner and a few others. All of them had access to all of the fonts.

Proof in hand that the fonts behave as I would expect them to, I then opened PhotoScape X. It's not just you. This app does a terrible job accessing fonts. I could choose SP Blunt Outline and Script, but not Regular or Italic. For the other, I could access Vintage Forge Regular, but not Condensed or Script.

Step 1

The first thing you need to do is find fonts! If you are going to be using these fonts commercially, it is important you find fonts that allow you to use commercially, if you are going to be using them on a product you will be selling.

Me too with Gotham font. I noticed that if I check the font in Finder, it doesn't have the .otf extension that most other fonts do. Could it be that a Photoshop update has made it more sensitive to that?

the font with the issue is Dummies (from a variety of sources ) .

Installed other fonts after that, all working fine

I'm having the same issue - with Version 22.0.0. Have tried re-installing fonts over and over again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried resetting the the preferences too, that doesn't work either. It has to be a bug.

Issue: A font i use and have notice other fonts that I have used in the past such as symbols and TASTEFUL for example are showing up as squares. As though its a unicode issue or the characters don't exist. But they do as I used them before and can currently use them in Illistrator, After Effects etc. I can even use it in photoshop if I select the Glyph tab and select Entire font to show all characters and they are there. I then can double click the character and it shows up. But if I type it shows square boxes. It shows in the fiont drop down as well as square boxes but not under the Glyph and it can be pasted in.

Photoscape is a piece of free, photo editing software to use instead of more costly programs such as Photoshop. The program is pretty cool but you may want to install more fonts than what it comes with. If so, check out this video and you'll find out how to get it done. You'll need a zip program like winzip or winrar and you'll of course need Photoscape which you can get here.

I'm running Win7 Ultimate (IE9) and I have WinRAR installed (this opens compressed files). I go to any free font site (I like fontspace, dafont) I find the one I like, click download, hit save when the download window opens. After that I go to my downloads folder and double click the font, when it opens I then double click "true type font" and click install. I leave the saved file in downloads, I never move anything or open new folders. The font shows up in Photoscape, Gimp and Windows. Most of the fonts show up in Miscrosoft Word, Notebook, etc. Occasionally I have a font not compatible with something I'm using, but for the most part all fonts show up in font the list of whatever I might be using at the time.(It seems Open type fonts won't work in Photoscape)

Photoshop now supports SVG fonts that provide multiple colors and gradients in a single glyph. Photoshop ships with the EmojiOne SVG font. The Apple Color Emoji font is also supported on the macOS platform.

Ever scrolled through all your fonts and simply cannot find the right one for your work? When creating a visual project, finding the right font is key to what you want to convey with your design. Nobody uses Comic Sans unless they don't want to be taken seriously, for example. And you may remember how Times New Roman was the go-to for compositions and Arial was the default for website creators.

There are two essential ways to add fonts to Photoshop, you can download and install fonts on your computer and use them on Photoshop or you can go through your Creative Cloud account and add them through Adobe fonts. We'll cover both methods here.

This is probably the best method because you can do it without needing to log in to your Creative Cloud account, it's free, and you'll have the font at your disposal to use for any other programs where fonts are used, not just Photoshop.

Fonts typically come in either TTF or OTF file formats. Both can be installed in Windows or Mac after download. TTF or TrueType font files are an older format and are what you've probably seen more often if you're used to working with fonts. OTF or OpenType font files are a newer format with more scalable options, but for the average user, both files are equally usable.

Fonts are licensed for different uses like personal and commercial use, or others are 100% free or obtained through donationware. When you're looking for a font to add to Photoshop, think about what you'll be using it for. If you're using it for personal use, you'll easily find many free fonts available. If you need a font for commercial use, though, make sure it is licensed for it or as public domain before using it.

Anti-aliasing makes the jaggedness of the images smooth. The same thing applies to fonts too. It is the most common reason where the anti-aliasing of the font set to None. To find this, first, select the text or click the type tool.

Welcome to the forum! We have an issue logged with our developers where the Bebasneue font isn't being detected in our iPad apps. Do you have this issue with other newly install fonts or just this one?

With countless fonts available today, it can be hard to find ones you like because you'll spend hours going through them all. With that in mind, here are the best Photoshop typefaces available to make it easier to choose.

Last on the list of the built-in fonts that Photoshop offers, we have Myriad Pro, an elegant-looking sans-serif font that doesn't really go out of style. You can certainly pair this font with other sans-serif styles like Century Gothic, which we discussed earlier.

If you didn't find what you need with Photoshop's built-in kit, Adobe Fonts could be your answer. There are thousands of fonts to choose from, and loading them into Photoshop only takes one click. Aside from Adobe Fonts, we've also got a list of sites that will help you find free fonts based on appearance.

To activate a font on Photoshop, just head to Adobe Fonts and use the search bar at the top to find specific fonts, or scroll down and click Browse Fonts. Once here, search for the font you want to use and click Activate Font. Now, you can use that font in Photoshop or any other compatible Creative Cloud app!

Kicking things off with sans-serif fonts, we have Oswald. Oswald's striking typeface shines as header or hero text, but it can also be a solid option for smaller copy that you want to grab the reader's attention with (like a list of features, perhaps).

For the final font in this list, we have the Diavlo family of fonts if you want a modern-looking style that also appears timeless. You have five different font styles to choose from, but the one we've used here is the Diavlo Book.

As previously mentioned, design can be subjective, and there might be some fonts that didn't make this list that you think are better suited for your documents. We recommend you go through them all and see what works best for you.
