This cap is for the people of Palestine.
It is a symbol of solidarity and pays tribute to their resilience.
It is a symbol of solidarity and pays tribute to their resilience.
After the Six Day war in 1967, the Israeli government imposed a ban on public displays of the Palestinian flag for nearly 30 years. In response, Palestinians creatively resisted by using the watermelon as a symbol of their identity as it shares the colours of the flag when cut open. Inspired by their resistance, we created this cap to show solidarity.
Embroidered onto the crown is the word ‘Falasteen’, Arabic for Palestine. It features a watermelon design on the underbrim with embroidered black seeds and a silk-printed edge. Beyond being merely a fashion statement, this cap embodies unity and hope; a belief that, together, we are part of a global movement for justice, liberation and support for people in Palestine, particularly those facing unimaginable cruelty in Gaza during this horrific genocide.
We hope you will wear it with pride.

The situation in Gaza is desperate, leaving more than one million children suffering, starving and at risk of contracting diseases. More than 16,000 children have already been killed in the brutal bombardment. The fundraiser will provide immediate relief to these vulnerable children, including essential medical supplies and treatment, food and clean water, as well as rebuilding healthcare facilities. You can read more about the fundraiser here.
We want to raise as much as possible to help children in Gaza, so we are asking for a minimum donation of £35 in order to receive a cap. The fundraising page operates in dollars, therefore based on the latest conversion rate, you would need to put $45.00 into the donation box. (You are welcome to donate more if you like!)
Please enter your full name in the boxes provided and do not tick the anonymous box so that we can see who has donated.
