The cheapest Amazon Kindle is also the best e-reader for most people. Its affordable price, portability, upgraded display, 16 GB of base storage, and USB-C charging compatibility check the most-important boxes, plus Amazon offers a massive ebook catalog that frequently offers better prices than the competition. Checking out ebooks from the library via the Libby app on a phone or tablet and then having them delivered to your Kindle is also fairly intuitive.

You can read our ebooks online, or download them to a vast array of devices, using our Ebook Reader apps. As well as being dubbed "The most ethical e-bookseller" by ethicalconsumer.com, eBooks.com is trusted by over 4,000 global publishers. We are also the supplier of choice for thousands of educational institutions around the world.

Scribd also has listen offline features that allow you to download content like ebooks and audiobooks to your phone so that you can access them when you don't have internet available (like when you are flying or in a bad reception area).

As a parent, I'm glad to live in the Internet Age--particularly when my children ask me questions about the world that I can't sufficiently answer. And as a parent trying to raise bilingual and biliterate children, I'm grateful that technology provides a convenient way to supplement our language learning. We recently signed up for a free two-week trial of Storyplayr, a subscription site featuring hundreds of quality children's ebooks in French, and I was truly surprised by the richness of this site. If you're looking for more French books for your children, read on.

Admittedly, I've never been a fan of ebooks. However, Storyplayr has over 350 ebooks in French for ages 3-8, and all of them are well-illustrated, colorful titles that load reasonably quickly. Many of these are strictly digital titles but you'll also find some familiar characters (such as Mimi Cracra) and classics (such as Les fables de La Fontaine). The books are well organized into categories by topic and age, so the site never feels overwhelming. There are even some bilingual books (mostly French/English but with a few French/German titles) and the folks at Storyplayr are constantly adding new selections.

My favorite aspect of Storyplayr is that a fair amount of the ebooks have audio recordings made by subscribers and their children. Any subscriber, including you and your child, can record stories. This audio recording capability opens up so many opportunities for language use and play--not only can your child listen to stories aloud, he or she can record their own reading of the story and send this recording to anyone via email (regardless of whether the recipient has a Storyplayr subscription or not).

Initially the idea was to have the page be the main landing page for the book and use Hotmart only to checkout and send the ebooks in PDF and ePub formats to customers, so I implemented a page on my own website that would allow me to add the book details and link to the payment gateway.

I just registered for my Becker CPA Review material and I realized that with each Module, there is a ebook chapter (Example, page 1 lecture, page 2 lecture etc.) My textbooks are being shipped but I would like to start studying now. Is the ebooks chapters I am looking at right now going to be the same as the textbooks I will receive? If it is, I will start studying right now.

Whether you need a dedicated ereader will depend on how much you read books and whether you're comfortable spending the extra money on a reading device. If you're an avid reader and keep buying new titles, you'll find that going digital can help you save on storage space for your books as well as save you money in the long run as ebooks are typically cheaper than the printed versions. Admittedly you'll be spending a decent chunk of change on the ereader itself, but you'll find that it pays for itself soon enough. Moreover, some ereaders allow you to borrow library books, which can save you even more.

If your main source of reading material would ebooks from your local library, then it's best to opt for a Kindle or a Kobo device. Both with allow you to access your local library's ebook catalogue from anywhere (as long as you are connected to a Wi-Fi network), but keep in mind that Kindles only support borrowing from American libraries. If you live outside of the US, a Kobo would be a better option.

Some ebooks need to be read in color. While the Onyx Boox Tab Mini C will display colors, many appear washed out... the screen tech hasn't evolved enough yet, but there's some excellent contrast here. And it's a full Android 11 tablet with writing and drawing capabilities, so you have the Play Store to download any reading/writing app.

Adding to its value-for-money outlook is the fact that, in several markets, you can borrow books from a local library that supports OverDrive, saving you the cost of having to buy new ebooks. Or you can sign up to Kobo Plus if you're in Australia, the UK, the US or New Zealand directly from the device if you'd prefer an ebook subscription service.

It offers a bit more open ecosystem than a Kindle, with plenty of file and font support, plus the usual Kobo perks of Dropbox connectivity (to transfer your notes and ebooks wirelessly), OverDrive support (to borrow library ebooks) and the baked-in Pocket app to read long-form web articles offline.

The 7.8-inch display is a good size for comics and graphic novels, while Android 11 gives you access to the Google Play Store. So even though you don't have access to a book store on the Onyx, you can download the Kindle or Kobo app and log into your account or sign up for one. And viola, access to plenty of ebooks and audiobooks right there! There's also a built-in speaker that you can use to listen to audiobooks or sideload music files.

The ebook reader supports popular ebook formats (epub, mobi, prc, and fb2), pdf files, and comic book archives (cbz and cbr). It would open the pdf in a fit-to-screen mode, which is not at all comfortable. I needed to zoom in a couple of times to read comfortably. However, pdf is not a good format for ebooks to start with.

Content  This database collection of more than 1,200 Spanish-language ebooks includes picture books, read-alongs, and interactive books from more than 50 Latin American publishers and is available for schools and public libraries. SLJ reviewed the school edition.

Verdict With a large variety of titles available for ages preschool to 18, and an especially strong collection for ages three to 12, this digital library provides an excellent way for schools and public libraries to increase their Spanish-language titles for youth, which are difficult to acquire in physical formats. The multiuser simultaneous access allows multiple patrons and students to access titles at any time. Titles and collections are great for browsing, including for curriculum and as resources for projects and lessons. Statistics allow teachers and librarians insight into trends and use of ebooks. The layout is easy to navigate and visually appealing; titles and collections are easy to find, browse and view; and the titles are high quality and share history and information about peoples all over the world. An exciting resource that will help bridge the gaps in Spanish collections for youth.

3. At the end of all your ebooks, ask readers to leave a review if they enjoyed the book. Include a link so they can easily leave a review. Oh, and discounting your book for a time so that more people see your request can often substantially increase your number of reviews.

I appreciate the tips on gifting ebooks. I agree that ebooks are so much easier to deal with and they are easier to return than other books just in case they have read the book already. My brother is looking into getting some ebooks for gifts this season, I will be sure to share this information with him.

Norton ebooks retain the authoritative content of Norton textbooks at a fraction of the cost of a printed text. Students and instructors can highlight, annotate, and bookmark their ebooks. Additional ebook features include compatibility with mobile devices, interactive content (videos, self-assessment) embedded into select Norton ebooks, and instructor highlights and annotations that can be shared with students.

Norton began transitioning our educational ebooks to the new Norton Ebook Reader platform in 2021. The new platform offers redesigned navigation features, updated annotation tools, and offline access. Because the transition to the new Norton Ebook Reader is ongoing, many ebooks published before 2022 are still offered through the classic version of the Norton Ebook Reader. To find out if your ebook is being delivered through the "classic" view, click the account menu on the top-right of the ebook reader screen. If "switch to classic view" is not an option, you are in the classic reader.

Use your Rowan NetID to access ebook content. The library is transitioning away from direct linking to ebooks. Links to ebook from Rowan-Virtua SOM Library guides will gradually be updated to go to their Library Search record, and from the record you can access the content of the ebook. 0852c4b9a8
