It is quite obvious that people stop using Zawgyi font and moving to Unicode. So I made my mind to start giving a try to Unicode. Since I've never installed Unicode before , I start googling and found a site . To my surprise, there is more than 1 Unicode font . If you have experience using Unicode before, please suggest which version is most suitable to use.
I realized that Shopify is still using Zawgyi-One font for Myanmar language. Zawgyi font is no longer supported since 2008 if I'm not wrong and it is not in unicode format. Myanmar users heavily used Zawgyi before however most people nowadays use Myanmar Unicode which is standardized as unicode standard. The official fonts that are currently used are Pyidaungsu font by Myanmar Government, Myanmar Text by Microsoft and Noto Sans Myanmar by Google. You should consider using these font family instead of Zawgyi-One, Myanmar3, etc. I found out this problem when I add a product description which is auto converted into Zawgyi, then saved in database as Zawgyi texts. So even though I change font-family in base.css, it's useless because the texts are converted into Zawgyi. Please fix this issue asap since Myanmar people cannot read proper Myanmar fonts now in Shopify.

I am trying to use a custom font which is stored locally.
When I put the font in pjroot/content/images and load in my css, it is working fine.
But when I put the font in other folders like pjroot/content/data or pjroot/content/fonts(custom folder), I am getting 404 error.
It seems like only pjroot/content/images folder is public.
Where and how can I change the configuration?
If your fonts are in "font folder within assets folder of your theme. And your custom css file is in assets/built/ folder.
This means your font folder and built folder are in the same location.
Although we noticed that there are some local guides who are unaware or unable to keep up with Unicode standards and trying to make lots of counter editions which intent to use Google maps with non-Unicode, substandard #Zawgyi font. I believe that Google maps team probably aware of these drawbacks and as a Google local guide volunteers, we are facing these problems as daily basis.
For your information, Myanmar government is currently on E-Government transition and we, Local guides, are proud to be a part of it as well.

i am not easy to answer this question , (is it true name in myanmar?) . A the time , difficultly to choose , (for a few people who use Unicode ) or (for many people who use Zawgyi fonts ) . so,i always choose is (not sure). i don't know true or not.

We are preparing a book in Myanmar (Burmese) using InDesign. We have an issue with Myanmar font after we placed the text from our MS Word document. We use Noto Sans Myanmar font. It is OK on Word, but it does not appear correctly for some strokes on InDesign (please see below).
I suggest you look into the link provided above to see if it addresses issues with the language/alphabet/font you're using. It's outside my direct experience, but I know there are specific issues with extended alphabets, and solutions for them.
Uploading new custom fonts is not available in v3.6, you would need to be using v3.5 for that. Custom fonts will support fewer languages and also not have the quality (resolution) levels of GoogleFonts in v3.6.
Perhaps check a listing of Burmese unicode fonts: try Myanmar Unicode Fonts; or the Myanmar Language unicode page; or the Myanmar Wikipedia font support page. Also, this Q&A from AskUbuntu treats a Myanmar font problem.
The Characters on the right hand side look like one of the South Asian (Tamil, Indian, Vietnam, Thailand)character sets. On my English LibO system fonts such as Gautama, Kelage, Malliga, Tanga (spelling may not be exact) fit in that area. They look the closest.
If you select your font in writer, and the font is actually working, it will tell you the Name of the font. As will INSERT > SPECIAL CHARACTERS.
If the font is actually broken, you may just have to go through the fonts one by one. You could start by try finding the ones mentioned above in the font library. As it is the font appears to be corrupted. Sorry not to help further.
My firefox browser can't shown the correct myanmar unicode script when I type in google page and other websites also shown the wrongly font scripts that are unable to read. I'd asked to google and they said it is the font rendering problem and advice ask to your team for help. Please take a look and advice me how to fix it. I'd installed myanmar unicode font in browser and set as default. Other websites which are use Myanmar unicode are also shown the wrong script in firefox browser. The browser version is 103.0.1(64bit).
I'd uncheck the this textbox ; Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above and the results shown correctly. May I know why was happened like that? Anhow, thanks for your kind help.
You can check in the Rules tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font-family is used for selected text.You can check in the Fonts tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font is actually used because Firefox might be using a different font than specified by the website.

I am having issues with my PDF export for KHMER - Cambodian language not appearing in the PDFs and same way the Myanmar font appears as boxes. I tried using Aspose.PDF for .Net 17, the most recent version and I see the issue still exists.
Please make sure to install fonts in your environment which support full characters of respective languages. We have tested the scenario by installing Khmer UI and Zawgyi-One fonts in our environment, which support KHMER and BURMESE languages respectively and text was fine and readable in the generated PDF. For your reference, we have attached generated PDF and used font files along with code snippet as well.
I am using aspose.PDF 9.8 because we have a license it restricts me from using the recent version of aspose. Also with the new fonts, I was able to see myanmar getting fixed, however I am still seeing a missing text for the KHMER cambodian language. Please see attached Documents (3).zip (252.0 KB)
In order to display this font correctly, usage of special setting is needed. In latest version Aspose.Pdf for .NET 17.11 Aspose.Pdf.Text.TextFormattingOptions class has been introduced. This class has a an enumeration LineSpacingMode which is designed for specific fonts like you are using in your scenario.
Most versions of Linux now ship Firefox with Pango support. If you have the Pango Graphite Module installed and an appropriate font which supports Myanmar Unicode and Graphite, then it should render Myanmar correctly.
If you have trouble with Unicode 5.1 pages not displaying correctly, then the problem may be with the fonts that you have installed. Mozilla tries to use the font in the stylesheet for the web page first (Padauk on this site). If that font doesn't have a glyph for a specific code point, then it will use the first font it finds with that code point. If your version of Mozilla does not know how to interpret that font then it will be rendered wrongly.
e.g. If you have Padauk installed as well as a Myanmar font, which is only partially conformant to Unicode 5.1, then if mozilla finds the other font first, then Myanmar text will be rendered wrong. 0852c4b9a8
