When you see the list of programs that automatically launch when Windows starts, look at the check boxes next to each program: a check in the box means to start the program, and an empty box means you do NOT want the program to start with Windows. You can experiment with unchecking some boxes and restarting your computer until you pinpoint the problem.
Some antivirus programs may flag RealPlayer as a Trojan or Trojan-like due to its history of bundling adware and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) in the past. However, these are usually optional and can be opted out during installation.

It seems that there are many users who have difficulty uninstalling programs like RealPlayer from their systems. Some experience issues during uninstallation, whereas other encounter problems after the program is removed.
Oh, God! Is realplayer still around? I thought that program was put out to pasture a long time ago. It was the most ad-laden, ill-conceived app I ever had the displeasure of using. And I agree, VLC does, indeed, rock!
I've just installed realplayer from their site, and I just thought: how do I remove it? If I ever need to uninstall any program I haven't installed via pacman fully, and the corresponding installer does not have an "uninstall" option, what do I do?
if it's done by a Makefile (i.e. make install), there's usually a "make uninstall" or something of the sort, to get rid of it all... I'd assume realplayer has their own installer.... you'd have to check with them... *shrug*
yeah, the equivalent of Add/Remove programs is pacman... that's the definition of "package management" - think about it this way... installing RealPlayer the way you did is much like unzipping a file to C:Program Files - it's not going to show up in "Add/Remove Programs" - hell, alot of programs don't show up there.
