Nero Burning ROM, commonly called Nero, is an optical disc authoring program from Nero AG. The software is part of the Nero Multimedia Suite but is also available as a stand-alone product. It is used for burning and copying optical media such as CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray disks. The program also supports the label printing technologies LightScribe and LabelFlash, and can be used to convert audio files into other audio formats.

Nero Burning ROM works with a number of optical disc image formats, including the raw uncompressed image using the ISO9660 standard and Nero's proprietary NRG file format. Depending on the version, additional image formats may be supported. To use non-natively supported formats such as lossless FLAC, Wavpack, and Shorten, additional program modules must be installed. The modules are also known as plug-ins and codecs and are usually free, although Nero AG sells some proprietary video and audio plug-ins. Standard CD images created by Nero products have the filename extension .NRG, but users can also create and burn normal ISO images.

In my old age, I have decided to sell off all my books and CDs. Before I send a CD out, I test it for playability. Nero has a superb program that scans the surfaces of all optical media and provides results in terms of readable sectors. It allows me to identify the track number and, by implication, the physical location of the problem. I have been able to find and clean nearly invisible smudges this way.

@cliffsloane it occurred to me that i was looking specifically for nero.exe just because that was what the terminal said was missing when i tried to run wine nero. can you check when you run discspeed to see if perhaps the exe has some other name? and, if possible, it lives in system32 or syswow64? my guess is 32, but just to be sure

Methods:  We enrolled 350 patients who were recruited online and completed the initial health journal in the 6-week program. As a reference group, we included results retrieved from the Swedish well-structured face-to-face self-supportive OA management program Better Management of Patients With Osteoarthritis (BOA).

Results:  Of the study cohort (n=350 patients; 239 women, mean age 62 years, mean body mass index 27 kg/m2), 71.4% (n=250) completed the program and were included in the study. We used the questionnaires to secure a clinical diagnosis of OA and to establish baseline study values.
