The Support-A-Creator program is returning to its roots as an affiliate marketing program for streamers and social media content creators. The SAC affiliate program is still available to those who meet its requirements. We've removed the Support-A-Creator device from Fortnite Creative and all published islands as part of this change.

Engagement payouts are specifically designed to reward island creators who make great content using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite and Fortnite Creative tools. Unlike SAC, engagement payouts do not require code entries to reward creator success, and players support island creators simply by playing the experiences they already enjoy.

Creators are no longer allowed to promote SAC creator codes within their islands, so that island creators and social media creators each have an independent channel to profit from engagement and are incentivized to work together, rather than competing to convince players to enter their codes. Any new or updated islands will be required to remove mention of SAC creator codes starting March 22, 2023.

With the removal of the Support-A-Creator device from islands, creators should reconsider player experiences that may no longer be necessary, such as reducing or removing matchmaking lobbies and/or sending players into the islands directly.

Creators collect rewards based on total qualified video publishes, or unique public videos from eligible regions that used their effect within the first 90 days. When an effect reaches 100,000 unique public video publishes, a creator will start collecting rewards. They will continue to collect rewards for every additional qualified video publish until the end of the 90-day period, or until they reach the maximum reward. Reward amount may vary based on several factors, including the region where the videos were published.

All effects published before March 12, 2024 at 12:00 AM GMT, when the updated Effect Creator Rewards officially launched, will continue to follow the original payout structure and requirements. This means that for every effect that reaches 200,000 qualified video publishes within its first 90 days, creators will collect cash payouts based on RPM. All effects published from March 12 onwards will follow the new structure and requirements.

Data from your Effect Creator Rewards dashboard may differ from the numbers you see in Effect House Analytics and the TikTok app. This is because Effect Creator Rewards excludes deleted, duplicated, banned, and some private videos. It also excludes videos that can't be counted toward Effect Creator Rewards, such as videos from ineligible regions and multiple videos of the same effect posted by the same user within a day. (For example, if a TikTok creator publishes 5 videos using the same effect on the same day, it only counts as 1.) For a more accurate view of your rewards, please refer to the Effect Creator Rewards dashboard.

Our system reviews authenticity, engagement, and content quality for creators applying to our network. Members must meet our standards for all three in order to be approved and stay eligible for collabs. Members must also meet and maintain our Community Guidelines.

Strava techs refuse to help clean up the database, yet they don't provide users with any tools to do so themselves. Another solution would be to name local moderators who have some ability to edit segments or contact the creators so it isn't just open source to everyone else if privacy is the concern.

I agree that there is quite a bit of Segment duplication and some poorly created Segments, for example, with GPS anomalies or starting before a junction (or finishing after a junction), which makes it too easy for users to "cheat" by not covering the full Segment distance. However, as someone who has created a lot of Segments (hopefully with sufficient care), I wouldn't really want to be hassled by other users who want adjustments that might give them a better leaderboard position. Some communication with the Segment creator could be helpful but to protect privacy it might be better to do this anonymously.

I think something along these lines is needed. I am one of the trail stewards for a local park and sometimes trail sections are closed or rerouted. Sometimes people make new trails by riding down a hillside and then create a segment for it. We go in and remove the trails, but the segment still exists with no way to remove it. This draws unnecessary attention to the old route and can cause extra work for us if people attempt to re-open it. At the very least there should be a feature to archive old segments that are no longer relevant due to trail changes. This could be done either by contacting the creator, or with a voting system (some min number of votes to archive). I would also be in favor of local admins, but at least for mountain biking they should be people involved with the trails somehow.

Luckily, a ton of companies have been built to support creators, especially the 2 million people able to make a full-time career out of it (just imagine all the tools and infrastructure that are needed if the entire population of Lithuania were to become YouTubers).

Essentially, creators have to balance the distribution potential of certain platforms with the risk of becoming dependent on them, and monetize by either earning a little off of each fan from mainstream content for a big audience or earning a lot off of deeper connections to a smaller set of fans through niche content.

COVID Impact? Large tailwinds as more people are staying at home and either becoming creators for additional sources of income or existing creators have more time to devote to their creations.

COVID Impact? Minor tailwinds as corporate and brands cannot do in-person professional shoots so they are reaching out to creators for user-generated content, but other brands have largely paused marketing efforts to conserve cash.

COVID Impact? Net neutral. Supply has increased because COVID has encouraged many people to become creators in order to generate additional income streams. For example, Patreon added 30K new creators on their platform in the past 2 months. Patrons who are still financially stable are opening their hearts and wallets with bigger payments for creators. However, this is partially offset by a decrease in demand because as unemployment rises, more people will be cutting discretionary spending on things like a monthly donation to a creator.

While all these tools have substantial adoption from creators to-date, the way they help creators ultimately monetize a more engaged community is via the selling of merchandise, which as discussed earlier, is not the most reliable source of income.

Being a creator today requires evolving from being an artist to being a founder. The job has come to encompass product management, design, community engagement, ecommerce, and data science along with being an entertainer. You have to build a team of experts and vendors to help you manage the tools to build a diversified business across platforms.

More and more, businesses are understanding the value of working with freelance content creators. They see that high-quality content inspires users to take action and can foster community and loyalty through interaction with the brand, its community, or both.

Whatever your area of expertise is, you need to be on top of it, know the latest news, and follow the trends. Make sure to follow content creators or brands that work within your niche. Join forums or follow reputable blogs that discuss content strategy. If there is a new trend or a piece of news that is relevant to your brand, make sure to jump on it and produce high-quality content quickly.

Growing a business and a solid client base takes time, especially if you want to be a digital content creator full-time. Give yourself at least six to eight months of hustling before expecting results. 0852c4b9a8
