Hello, I installed yesterday windows 10 x 64 vers. 1903 and when installing 120% alcohol they get Device Driver error failed! (Alcohol Virtual AHCI Controller Management Service), the computer works very hard, shutdown takes a long time and starts the same! With the previous version worked correctly, what can this error be?

If the file you got from Phil is alcohol120_fe_2.0.3.9811.exe, it's for later Windows versions. The last 98SE compatible version is 1.9.5.3105, and I think it's 30-day shareware only, as their ad-sponsored "Free Edition" started later. The full license they sell now is still good for the old version, although a bit costly.

appreciate the heads-up. is the "retro edition" ad-based? does the alcohol virtual drive support CD audio? also i take it win95 is out of consideration, probably too high overhead for typical hardware there anyway...

anyone ever tried to share an alcohol drive over network via iSCSI? that way you don't even have to run alcohol on the old PC, and no HDD seek times either if the image is on an SSD. though iSCSI apparently does require at least 2000 SP4.

I was tinting a hatch back, and the tint would not stick to the solid black boarder. I was heating it down for 10 mins and still would not go down. So I grab a ppf solution (alcohol and water). Sprayed and white card with paper towel, and it suck. I done this really quickly in seconds. Is it safe for glue?

Okay for the glue, not okay for you to be inhaling it. Use it sparingly or you'll wind up like I did with alcohol poisoning; I used about one half cup per Poly2 continously in my slip, then stopped under doctor advisement.

I use Isopropyl alcohol some times when have a corner on a residential job not sticking. was told to do this from old global film rep. I spill Isopropyl alcohol on a scrap piece of sungards bronze 20 residential film and it faded to a different color in matter of seconds. just dont us the Isopropyl alcohol on auto tinting cause once you get the alcohol get on the window doesn't matter how much slip you use the film will not slide and it will stick instantly on the window. found out by trying to clean a door glass I use as a test window with Isopropyl alcohol before I installed the auto film to see what would happen when doing this.

Isopropyl alcohol and its metabolite, acetone, act as central nervous system (CNS) depressants. Symptoms of isopropyl alcohol poisoning include flushing, headache, dizziness, CNS depression, nausea, vomiting, anesthesia, and coma. Poisoning can occur from ingestion, inhalation, or absorption; therefore, well-ventilated areas and protective gloves are recommended.

Clean frequently. The Surface touchscreen is coated to make it easier to clean. You don't need to rub hard to remove fingerprints or oily spots. To clean your screen, use a screen cleaning wipe or a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. When necessary, you can dampen the cloth with one of the following: water, isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution 70% or less, or eyeglass cleaner. Never use glass cleaner or other chemical cleaners.

Use only Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution 70% or less as a disinfectant product for your Surface devices. Lightly dampen a soft lint-free white cloth with the IPA solution before wiping the exterior enclosure of a Surface device.

If you're using high purity isopropyl alcohol, the advantages are that it is non conductive (being a non polar solvent), is not terribly reactive with the things you'd normally find in a computer, and generally dries fast. Water is a polar solvent, so you don't want to be using it in computers in larger quantities. 70% seems to be what people use, but you really want to be using 90% or better.

And this is allegedly an entire PC soaked in rubbing alcohol. (No, do not do this. isopropy alcohol is highly inflammable - it will evaporate into something that can be ignited at low temperature (13-15 degrees), and will catch fire at around 400 degrees C, and we do not want to be responsible for house fires. BAD BAD IDEA.) And since this is kinda being mentioned in the comments (Its potentially explosive under the right conditions - I do not recommend trying to blow up plastic water jugs unless you're a trained professional and/or a chemistry teacher).

Applying it to a paper towel may leave lint (coffee filters seem to be a common lint-free alternative), and the computer has lots of bits that stick out which may catch and rip out bits of it. I've generally used the stuff for spot cleaning on a cotton swab for particularly nasty, hard to remove dirt. It's also pretty good for cleaning contact pins or dirty lenses on optical drives (often using a lense cleaner) VERY carefully. As such, while alcohol itself might be safe, be very sure to clean the surfaces again after you have removed the intended residue with something lint free.

Background & aims:  Corticosteroids are the only effective therapy for severe alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH), defined by a model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) score >20. However, there are patients who may be too sick to benefit from therapy. Herein, we aimed to identify the range of MELD scores within which steroids are effective for AH.

Lay summary:  Alcohol-associated hepatitis is a condition where the liver is severely inflamed as a result of excess alcohol use. It is associated with high mortality and it is not clear whether the most commonly used treatments (corticosteroids) are effective, particularly in patients with very severe liver disease. In this worldwide study, the use of corticosteroids was associated with increased 30-day, but not 90- or 180-day, survival. The maximal benefit was observed in patients with an MELD score (a marker of severity of liver disease; higher scores signify worse disease) between 25-39. However, this benefit was lost in patients with the most severe liver disease (MELD score higher than 51).

Vinegar is great for cleaning glass, but because it's acidic, it can't be used on every surface. Vinegar can also lose its effectiveness if the container is left open for too long. For an all-purpose cleaner, stick with alcohol. As a bonus, it does a good job of disinfecting surfaces.

Combine the water and rubbing alcohol in the spray bottle. Add just a quick squirt of dish soap ( I usually use Dawn dish soap). Put the top on the spray bottle, and then gently shake the bottle to mix the contents.

Just a few days ago I used this cleaner to get my windows all cleaned up again after the long winter, and it did a fine job. I think spring is the only time of year when I actually feel like cleaning the windows!

In Australia, you can buy Isocol which is Isopropyl rubbing alcohol from supermarkets or chemist.

Instead of Half water and isopropyl, I use water, vinegar, squirt of detergent and a good squirt of Isocol. Works a treat!

I have 2 other laptops in the household: one made of glossy plastic and the other made of brushed aluminium. I treat my computers as sterile objects, so I would wipe them down with a microfiber cloth and a bit of 70% rubbing alcohol once every two weeks.

Here comes the sad part. I douse my cloth with a bit of rubbing alcohol then i did one quick wipe. The cloth has this disgusting greyish black color. I assume this was a lot of dust because I didn't do this to the laptop in the first two months. It was my mom's laptop after all.

CAUTION: Avoid strong cleaning solvents that can permanently damage your computer. If you are not sure that a cleaning product is safe for your computer, check the product contents to make sure that ingredients such as alcohol, acetone, ammonium chloride, methylene chloride, and hydrocarbons are not included in the product.

I am using a gasoline that claims that it might be up to some certain percentage ethanol and my gas tank is a little low right now. But I agree with you that it seems strange that the alcohol smell would come through and not the gasoline smell.

You could try to isolate the source. Open door, verify smell present. Without starting engine, roll down all windows until smell dissipates. Set HVAC to vent at dash and cold setting. Turn on fan and immediately get your nose up by the vent. Does it smell strongly again? No, start engine and leave fan running. Smell it now? Open trunk let dissipate. Close and then recheck in a while. Smell back? And so on.

I wonder if the mechanics that worked on your car (changing the tire, checking maintenance issue, etc) might have had dirty hands and gotten the steering wheel greasy and then cleaned it up with isopropyl alcohol. If this started just after your flat tire incident, this may be the problem. You might sniff the steering wheel and other parts of the interior for the isopropyl alcohol smell.

In California, the Lee Law establishes public health and safety standards for all alcohol retail stores. It also contains a window signage provision that prohibits alcohol retail stores from covering more than 33% of the square footage of windows and clear doors with signs of any sort. 0852c4b9a8
