Amanda Robin, a PhD student in ecology and evolutionary biology at UCLA, received a 2019 Mary Bowerman Science and Research Program grant to study squirrels, their burrows, and their behavior underground.

Burrow use of these subjects will be tracked using existing radio-frequency identification antennas as a part of an existing long-term study at Briones Regional Park in northern California. They plan to integrate the sensory information to infer the underground paths taken by individual squirrels and to characterize their behavioral budgets.

Mine accidents have killed tens of thousands of mine workers worldwide in just the past decade. Most of these accidents occurred in structurally diverse underground mines with extensive labyrinths of interconnected tunnels. As mining progresses, workers move machinery around, which creates a continually changing environment. This makes search and rescue efforts even more complicated than they might otherwise be.

Doing the same thing underground is much more difficult. Not only are Wi-Fi signals unavailable underground, but other wireless signals, such as those from cellphone towers, are also not present. Even what signals are there, from communications equipment in the mine, bounce off uneven surfaces, are absorbed by earthen walls and must pass equipment and other obstacles in tunnels of varying dimensions. These complexities make determining a specific location even harder for an electronic device.

That said, my guess is that it saves somewhere in the program directory (so you can load saved games from multiple user accounts). Look under the Program Files directory for the NFSU directory (probably C:\Program Files\Electric Arts\NFSU2 or something) and see if it has something for saved games.

ok!!! you guys i have found where it saves on WINDOWS VISTA... so you have to go to the directory of the folden (C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\NFSU2\) and in that folder which has all the setup and run the game you should see a file with a blank icon that says "Player" that is where it saves all of your accounts and usernames... so if you want to replace it with a save game or something like that this is where you would go!!

the nfs underground2 save folder on windows 7 & vista (C:\Users\your username\(befor this you will open the orgnize menu in the left then choose folder and search options then view and show hidden file then open AppData\Local\NFS Underground 2)

then put your save game folder.

in windows 7 simply go to C drive. Then go to user and select the user name. Then double click the address bar it should look like this

C:\Users\Username .then complete it C:\Users\usrname\appdata\local .

then ull see need for speed underground 2

I have some problem to!!

Here's why: In a 1991 New Mexico cave rescue, it took 170 people four days to save a woman with a broken leg. The rescue team had to lay miles of telephone line in order to stay in touch with the surface.

Back in the cave, we arrived at the test spot exactly 946 feet underground. The radio was being set up on the edge of a big pool of blue-green water pocked with stalagmite islands. It was 68 degrees, but incredibly humid.

I never really went out in the area. There are not many things to do in south Jamaica and no decent food places, just mostly fast-food places. I literally would go to work and come home to sleep. I was there to save money so I could eventually buy my house.

One of the most popular ways to overcome space constraints for ductwork is going underground. Underground ductwork adds tremendous value to a project because it takes advantage of space that typically goes unused.

Underground duct systems are an excellent option in nearly any application. Custom-built homes are an ideal fit, with floor-to-ceiling windows and any number of other design choices. Architects are free to make the building meet your needs with the duct system out of the way. Office or education buildings are another application that works well for BlueDuct. Rooms can be designed for optimal ventilation, which will improve concentration, and the duct is out of sight. Additionally, natatoriums or indoor pools can be a great fit for underground duct systems, which provide flexibility in design choices. Many more applications may be a great fit to save duct space with BlueDuct.

In a move that could potentially save money and billions of gallons of water, Tartakovsky, along with Abdulrahman Alawadhi from the University of California, San Diego, have proposed a new way to swiftly and accurately interpret data from pressure sensors commonly used to detect leaks.

The new method targets water leaks in transmission mains, which are typically routed out of sight underground. Water transmission networks in North America and much of Europe are fitted with sensors that measure pressure to gauge flow.

Rescuers from across Europe have rushed to the cave for an operation to save Mark Dickey, 40, who became suddenly ill with stomach bleeding during an expedition with a handful of others in the Morca cave in southern Turkey's Taurus Mountains.

In a video statement taped underground and released by The Associated Press on Thursday, Dickey thanked the caving community. He said he was very close to death and the medical supplies saved his life, though he still has internal injuries and pain, making it difficult to get out.

Tubman decided to help others run away because she believed their freedom was more important than her own safety and that it was her responsibility to help those who could not rescue themselves. During the eight years before the Civil War, she traveled to the South about 12 times to lead to freedom approximately 70 of her family and friends who were slaves. She dressed in disguises to avoid being captured and overcame many obstacles to make the journeys. For each trip, for example, she walked for seven weeks, traveling by night to avoid detection by bloodhounds, and covered nearly 90 miles to Philadelphia, where she found work and saved money to return.

"I do know that the quick response of the Turkish government to get the medical supplies that I need, in my opinion, saved my life. I was very close to the edge," the veteran U.S. cave scientist said in the video, shared by Turkish officials. 0852c4b9a8
