Hello, you can call me beepy. Something that has peaked my interest with this Fandom is how much you guys create. If we combine all the more known fan albums, and the ones in the works in this subreddit right now, that 2x the albums tally hall has made as a band. That's wild! What is even more interesting about these fan projects is that each one is unique. There is no fan album like "keep It coming back", and same could be said for "we think we're playing in a band" and "welcome back to tally hall". The first two are fans recreating existing songs, with jeep it coming back being strictly hawaii part ii songs, and we think we're playing in a band being mostly MMMM songs. Meanwhile , welcome back to tally hall is a whole new lineup of songs that have a very tally hall-ish feel. So we (kinda) have a MMMM tribute album with We think we're playing in a band, as well as a tribute for the most known tally hall side project, but where is the tribute album for good and evil? One would think that with its 10th birthday being last summer, it would have revived a tribute album like MMMM did, right? Well, apparently not, it would seem. And I want to remedy that. So because Good and evils 11th birthday is coming up this summer, I want to make a tribute album for it. And with projects like welcome back to tally hall, inside the world of simon, and bassists reputiour all in development right now, I cannot see a better time to start it.

So if you're any good with any instruments, or know how to sing, or use a daw, or maybe even just see how the project is going, join the discord! All help is beyond appreciated! Here's the link for that:

Tribute albums are always interesting to me. Out of all the artists who have been influences by John Anderson, how does the producer narrow it down to these particular artists? Does the subject artist have much, if any, involvement in the project?

I haven't listened to it yet (and the queue is pretty long, so it'll be a while), but the most recent episode of the Tabletop Genesis Podcast is all about this album. A while back, they did an interview with one of the guys (I don't remember if it was before or after the one's passing, so I don't know who the interview was with), but it talked about why they got into Genesis in the first place, and how they do the arrangements. It was a good interview, though I can't point out which episode that was.

"It's been a while since anyone has heard an update on the DEATH tribute album and I'd like to take the oppurtunity to fill everyone in. the rumors of it not happening are completely untrue. James Murphy was recently at my home recording my rhythm tracks and solos and I must say that i was blown away by the quality, sounds and performances of the drum tracks. It blows my mind that what started out as a phone conversation idea between James and I has snowballed into a celebration honoring the work of the late great Chuck Schuldiner, involving over 30 musicians from all genres of music, from Luc Lemay of GORGUTS to Andrew W.K. I want to take the time to thank James Murphy for his hard work in capturing amazing performances from Richard Christy [ex-ICED EARTH] and Dave Culross [MALEVOLENT CREATION] among others, and his dedication to the project. There is still much work to be done, as James has been travelling the world to record the project so it will take some time but will be well worth the wait. DEATH helped propell all of our bands and projects into fruition, and it's an honor to give back and celebrate his history with the blessing of the Schuldiner family.

"I also want to thank James for his talents in helping me to complete the latest release 'Universal Culture Shock' from my side project, FOREIGN OBJECTS. He played lead guitar on the album and mastered it, making an album I didn't think could get any better, 1000X better. I certainly wouldnt use the phrase 'best guitarist of all time' loosely, and in Murphy's case when i say it, I mean it. Watching my #1 guitar idol shred out on an album of mine is an experience I will never forget. FOREIGN OBJECTS is a project that expands on the style of spacey progressive death metal that PESTILENCE and CYNIC started in 1993 that never was given its fair shake in the underground. The album will be released on Halloween in a first run limited edition of 2,000 copies and is only available on Amazon.com. Again, I cannot put into words my appreciation for James' contribution...

"For CKY fans, our third album is coming closer and closer to completion We are spending a lot of time getting the sounds, songs and performances perfect...and this third record is by far our best work to date. All bands say that, but im certain fans will agree. So far, confirmed song titles are 'All Power To Slaves', 'Hold Your Breath', 'Tripled Manic State', 'Mesmerized', and 'Sniped'. The songs are better, the riffs heavier, and the band as a whole has improved immensly. We are aiming to have this masterpiece out as early in 2005 as humanly possible."

SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Fandom, an IT company based in South Korea, announced that Grouse Lodge Studio whose owner was Michael Jackson's loyal friend reveals a fantastic project that would have delighted Michael and his millions of loyal fans around the world.

In 2006, Michael Jackson managed to maintain his privacy, with very few people knowing exactly where he was staying or what he was doing. He spent the majority of his time in Ireland, based at Grouse Lodge Studios, owned by Paddy and Claire Dunning, which is a world-famous residential recording studio where artists from REM to Muse have made hit albums.

In 2022, as the world started recovering from the pandemic, Paddy Dunning decided that the world needed a new injection of positivity - one that we hope Jackson would have loved to have been able to deliver himself. At that juncture, Dunning decided to invited Neff-U and Rodney Jerkins back to Grouse Lodge to record with k-pop artists and make a tribute album to Michael.

Dunning said, "Over the past decade many big production companies contacted me about the Michael Jackson project, but I refused as it never felt right. However, Irish luck and Korean fortune brought new friends into my life. By happy coincidence, I came together with a company called, Fandom from Korea, and we decided to partner to produce this unique tribute album project and make a fitting monument to his artistry. I know Michael had a great love for Korea, and the current wave of Korean idol artists are in many ways heirs to his legacy with their approach of being master all-round entertainers. We feel that bringing these artists together with Michaels producers will allow us to give the world something unique. I hope we can make Michael proud and give the world some beautiful music inspired by his genius and make a difference in people's lives."

Neff-U said, "I am delighted to be involved in this special project and excited about going back to Grouse Lodge recording studios in Ireland to work with amazing K-pop stars for this tribute album to Michael."

Sungjin Park , the CEO of Fandom, said, "We are honored to have the opportunity to join this meaningful project, and collaborate with grouse lodge, Rodney Jerkins and Neff-U. We are also thrilled to announce the start of the process. This independent project, when finished, will be released through a partnership with one of the global major record labels. Furthermore, in the spirit of Michael's history of philanthropy, a portion of the profits will be donated to charities. Everyone involved in this project, including the featured artists, has a huge love and affection for this project, and the industry also has high expectations, so we will do more than our best to ensure the successful progress and for the great legacy of the 'King of Pop.'"

With his most recent band, The Yell Leaders, Bobby released four LPs and had a songs featured in episodes of TV's "Party of Five" and "Dawson's Creek," and films in Japan, South America and the U.S. The Yell Leaders were named the best unsigned band in their region by VH-1 as part of its Rock Across America 1998 Tour. Most recently, the band contributed tracks to a UK vinyl/CD tribute to the Redskins and collaborated on a track with Italian novelist Enrico Remmert.
