Please discourage high school graduation gifts of cooking appliances other than a microwave. Extensive food preparation is not allowed in resident rooms for sanitation and fire safety reasons. These restrictions are strictly enforced for the protection of all our residents.

Housing staff are not available during move-in to loft beds. Residents and families are encouraged to loft their own beds during move-in. If residents would like assistance lofting their bed after move-in, a maintenance request can be submitted after move-in and will be completed in approximately a week.

Most rooms in Waters have building block style furniture where your desk, dresser, hutch, and bookcase become part of the lofting unit in the most popular setup. All other residence hall rooms have a mix of the upright styles of loftable furniture which allows for different bed heights to be chosen by moving the bed frame up or down on the bed uprights.

In addition, cleaning supplies including brooms, mops, rags, dustpans, and buckets are provided on each floor for your use. Our staff maintains common areas but students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms, including rooms with private bathrooms.

All the same amenities and furnishings available to students in traditional rooms are available to students assigned to converted spaces. Students living in hall dens will be provided keys to the lockable door. Only students assigned to the den will have access to the space.

So when it comes to keeping their rooms clean, let your kids know what you expect. Go through the checklist with them a few times. Show them how to put their things away. And then show them again.

All I ever expect of my kids is for them to try their best. Take laundry for example. The way my 5-year-old folds his pants compared to the way my almost 8-year-old does is very different. But his best is still a success in my book.

Methods:  Patients from 2 hospitals in southeast Michigan were recruited within 24 hours of arrival to their room and followed prospectively using microbial surveillance of nares, dominant hand, and 6 high-touch environmental surfaces. Sampling was performed on admission, days 3 and 7, and weekly until discharge. Paired samples of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolated from the patients' hand and room surfaces were evaluated for relatedness using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis and staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec, and Panton-Valentine leukocidin typing.

Results:  A total of 399 patients (mean age, 60.8 years; 49% male) were enrolled and followed for 710 visits. Fourteen percent (n = 56/399) of patients were colonized with an MDRO at baseline; 10% (40/399) had an MDRO on their hands. Twenty-nine percent of rooms harbored an MDRO. Six percent (14/225 patients with at least 2 visits) newly acquired an MDRO on their hands during their stay. New MDRO acquisition in patients occurred at a rate of 24.6/1000 patient-days, and in rooms at a rate of 58.6/1000 patient-days. Typing demonstrated a high correlation between MRSA on patient hands and room surfaces.

Prioritizing tasks: Deciding what needs to get done and in what order. For example, a child with ADHD might not understand that putting dirty laundry in the hamper takes priority over organizing all of their books by color.

Transitions: Trouble shifting from one task to the next. For example, they might get stalled instead of moving from one cleaning job, like making the bed, to another, like putting their shoes away.

In all but the smallest meetings, it can be difficult to have open discussions and a meaningful exchange of ideas. With breakout rooms, people gather in small groups for lively conversation and brainstorming sessions.

Only meeting organizers on the desktop versions of Teams (Windows, Mac, and VDI) can create and manage breakout rooms. Organizers or presenters must first join the meeting to create or manage breakout rooms.

Make your meetings more efficient by adjusting breakout room settings before they start. Meeting organizers can plan ahead by creating and naming breakout rooms, sorting attendees into rooms, setting timers, and more.

Assign participants to each breakout room if you didn't do so automatically or need to reassign someone to another room. To assign people, you must be a meeting organizer or presenter who's been appointed a breakout rooms manager, and you must first join the meeting.

Meetings with breakout room capabilities are limited to 300 participants. If the channel contains more than 300 members, pre-assignment will not be available. Meeting organizers can also assign participants to breakout rooms during the meeting.

When you set a time limit, a timer is visible in each breakout room so that participants are aware of when the session will end. When time is up, the rooms close and participants return to the main meeting.

If you organize a meeting, you can gain insight into its participants and their breakout room activity through attendance reports. Learn which breakout room each person has joined, when they entered it, and when they left.

By default, participants are automatically moved into breakout rooms when they're opened. When you turn off this option, participants receive a message asking them to join a breakout room. They select Join room (Join on a mobile device) before being moved.

Bring the curriculum to life with a visit to Buckingham Palace during the summer. We offer a range of interactive workshops, tours, learning activities and resources for nursery, primary and secondary pupils. Our school visit information will help teachers and organisers plan their visit.

The State Rooms tour is indoors, taking in several large rooms and halls over two floors, exiting via a long outdoor gravel path through the garden. As the State Rooms are open during the summer months, it can become very hot inside.

One of our most elegant and exclusive rooms. Electra is located on our Mallory House property, just a few minutes south of the main Inn, on the west side of the highway. It is a top floor suite, perched a hundred feet from the Pacific. A truly unique experience.

HANK KUPJACK: Mrs. Thorne had a fascination for miniature, and she was on the board of the Art Institute during the time when full size period rooms were all the fashion in museums, and she realized that to have a comprehensive example you would need a building three times the size of the institute, and that was their original purpose: to educate and to give the public an idea of what full size period interiors look like.

TAO WANG: Most important thing you can see here is that room at the end, you can see ancestral portrait is hanging on the wall. At the front of the portrait there are incense burner, there are candlestick; for many families they have to come together every morning to pay their respects to the ancestor.

Once that crib is gone and you transition to a toddler bed, it can feel impossible to keep your child in their room. Hello jack-in-the-box! In this episode, Kayla and Carianna walk through 2 options and some mental shifts you can make so that you can cut out the drama at bedtime.

Once you decide on your barrier method, then you will want to make sure that your child's room is truly child-proofed. Keep your video monitor so you can see them in there, bolt or strap the dressers to the wall (or simply remove all tall furniture for now), keep any cords out of reach, make sure there are no choking hazards in their room, etc.

This also doesn't have to be a forever barrier. Once your child understands the boundary that is their door and understands that it's not moving no matter how much they test, you can remove the barrier.

Breakout rooms are a great option for meetings where you want to have close collaboration and small-group discussions. You can create as many as 50 separate breakout sessions at once. There are lots of ways for you as the host to place people into rooms and create a fun meeting experience for them.

Zoom breakout rooms are easy to set up during a meeting, but there may be times when you want to plan in advance and put more thought into how to split people up. Here are some ways you can create breakout room assignments before your meeting starts.

The deadline for returning students to cancel their 2024-25 Campus Housing applications without incurring cancellation fees was February 28, 2024. If your plans have changed and you no longer intend to live on campus next academic year, please log into myUK to formally cancel your housing application and contract.

If you are having trouble locating a certain room type within our system, it may be because those room types have all been filled and are no longer available to select. You are welcome to check back within the Campus Housing portal of myUK as often as you like to see if other students change their minds and release your preferred room type. There can be no guarantees that this will occur, but it does happen occasionally as students solidify their plans for the fall semester.

Please note, group bookings of 5 or more rooms will automatically incur an extended 30 day cancellation policy. Guests traveling with a total of 5 or more rooms are considered a group booking, regardless of if the reservations were made by each individual guests.
