When turned on the first time, live captions will prompt you to download live captions language files to be used by on-device speech recognition. If your language is not available, you can use another language during setup.

When you choose Top or Bottom, the captions window will appear as docked to the top or bottom screen edges in reserved space on your desktop, and other apps will not be blocked by the captions window. When docked to the top, you might find that live captions works well while sharing video in a virtual meeting or conversation, whereas in other cases, such as viewing videos, docking to bottom might work best.

Any audio captured by your microphone will be captioned, provided that no other audio on your device is being captioned. For example, if you use live captions to caption an online meeting with another person, if you both speak over each other, you will only see the captions for the other person while the other person is speaking.

Resource-intensive apps (for example, apps that share video) might impact the real-time behavior of live captions, leading to delays in captions, or even dropped captions. If this happens, consider limiting some app functionality while depending on live captions (for example, turn off any background effects or other special effects applied to shared video).

I'm looking for a way to create a windows 7/8/10 live usb with persistence storage. Recently, I started learning .NET and I have to create Windows Form Applications or ASP.NET Core web applications. I tried to use some IDEs like Rider, QT and ..., but the problem is it wasn't useful at all. So, I don't want to try ways like VM or Dual-Boot installation and exactly, I need to create a live usb. I googled a lot and I couldn't find a solution. Thanks a lot :)

A live kernel memory dump contains a consistent snapshot of kernel memory (and optionally, other types of memory) and saves it to a dump file. Unlike other methods to manually generate a kernel memory dump, this method does not cause a system crash.

A Full live kernel memory dump contains active kernel memory, with optional inclusion of hypervisor memory and user-mode memory. The options to capture hypervisor and user pages are available for full live kernel dumps. Alternatively, a Kernel stacks memory dump is a smaller file, limited to kernel processor states and all kernel thread stacks.

The Task Manager live dump feature was released in early 2023 and was first available in Windows Insider Preview builds in the Canary Channel (Build 25276 and higher) and Dev Channel (Build 23419 and higher) and in July 2023, is available in Windows OS build 22621.1992 and later.

When The abort if memory pressure option is selected the live dump process will be stopped if memory availability is not considered to be sufficient. This is the default setting to minimize the potential impact of capturing the live kernel dump on system responsiveness.

It is possible the live kernel memory dump creation succeeds, but may not contain the complete contents of memory. The capture temporarily requires enough available free physical memory to hold a copy of the memory to be written to the dump file. Closing unneeded applications or disabling the capture of hyper-V and user-mode memory pages may increase the amount of memory that can be saved to the dump file.

When a live memory dump occurs, the dump file can be analyzed using the same techniques used for other memory dump files. To understand the contents of memory during a failure, knowledge of processor memory registers and assembly programming is typically required. In addition, access to the failing source code will enable the issue to be fixed by the developer.

MSN Messenger received a major upgrade to version 7.0 on April 7, 2005. This version brought wink features that were previously only available in threedegrees. This version also advertised items to sell to you including animated display pictures, emoticons and backgrounds. The contact list window style was also updated to match instant message windows. This version also introduced the Xbox Live Integration feature. This version also introduced digital ink and handwriting recognition support. It is the last version of MSN Messenger to support Windows 98, Windows Me and Windows 2000.[citation needed]

The first beta of the newly renamed Windows Live Messenger, Beta 1, was released on December 13, 2005.[5] Major changes and additions included offline messaging, an option to change the color theme of the windows, separated send and search boxes, a word wheel search box in the main window, and additional details for contacts when hovering over their names in the contact list window.[citation needed]

Major changes and additions in Beta 1 included a new installation program in conjunction with the release of Windows Live 2.0, a new look for all of its windows that matches the aesthetic styles of Windows Vista,[24] a new "bunny" emoticon,[25] and integration with Windows Live OneCare Family Safety.[26] Beginning with this version, updates could be downloaded and installed through Microsoft Update.

Notable changes in Milestone 3 include a new revamped and refined user interface to follow suit with the rest of the Windows Live "Wave 3" design, the ability to set a "Scene" by customizing the background image and color of the contact list, and the display of these scenes in conversation windows for improved contact identification and window management.[citation needed]

Milestone 3 also brings a new "Groups" feature that allows users to create a continuous group conversation between select contacts, newly redesigned status icons which now resemble small gems rather than the previous "Messenger Buddy" icons, a new default "Favorites" category in which you can place your favorite contacts for easy access to them, a new Photo Sharing utility that allows contacts to quickly and easily browse photos together, and a "What's New" section at the bottom of the contact list to outline recent contact updates. Display pictures have been moved over to the left side of conversation windows, and new colorful borders appear around display pictures to display the current status of that contact. Milestone 3 is the first version of Windows Live Messenger to use the standard window frame on Windows Vista in accordance with the user experience guidelines.[citation needed]

On December 15, 2008, Windows Live Messenger 2009 RC (Build 14.0.8050.1202) was released together with the other Windows Live Wave 3 software applications, now renamed as Windows Live Essentials.[36] This version saw a removal of the custom sign-in sound feature however it is still possible to select a sound for other individuals, as well as changes to how the background image chosen is applied to the conversation windows. This build also included over 200 bug fixes including the "Custom Emoticon Bug" and saving of pictures when using the Photo sharing feature. On January 7, 2009, the same build was released as the final version of Windows Live Messenger 2009.[37]

A client for Windows Live Messenger was developed by Microsoft for the Symbian S60 Platform commonly used on mobile phones such as Nokia smartphones and released on August 23, 2007, to selected markets. In May 2009, the client was made available on the Ovi Store. This version of Windows Live Messenger included many of the features of the Windows Live Messenger client, including grouped contacts, voice clips (max 10 seconds), image and file sending; as well as features unique to S60 such as tabbed chat windows and integration with contact list and other features of the S60 platform.[79] When the trial expires the cost to users of Messenger for S60 is 1.50/$2.94 for 30 calendar days of use.[80] As of February 2009, Microsoft stopped charging for Windows Live Mobile and the service is now offered for free.[81]

I have been using my Galaxy Buds live with my PC but since Windows 10 installed the latest update the earbuds have now disappeared from the list of Bluetooth devices and windows can no longer discover my Galaxy Buds live. This has happened on both my laptop and my desktop pc after windows installed the latest updates. I have looked in the app on my phone but there is no update for the buds? They still connect to my phone but no longer connect to any windows 10 pc with the latest updates? Has anyone found a solution to this yet or do we just have to wait for a Samsung firmware update? Thank you

Someone told me he had Hirens boot CD on his flash drive and it was specially set up to use on a live windows system. Is there anything special one would do if the plan was to use it on a live windows system?

You can still run the hirens setup system on a live windows. Some of the programs does not work on the newer windows systems. Hirens boot cd has the files compressed with 7zip and they are temporarily decompressed to the harddrive when running.

Try burning the iso to a disc and try on the live windows. When you see proof of concept, then follow the tutorial for a flash drive.
