The fact that this movie stars a newcomer and the music label isn't as established yet...might have something to do with the fact that the songs are still not out on the net...Even the guy at the music store where I bought the CD from was wondering is a film by that name is really coming...I had to return empty handed...Only 2 days later did I get it from the same place...How I wish the same thing happens with bigger albums too and piracy vanishes:)
The first time I heard 'Galiye Nodu Baa' on FM...I knew that it would be a winner...The other day...I heard that song 5 times in a span of 1 hour on different FM channels..which implies that it is ruling the charts already...
'Kanna Sanneyali' is not yet being promoted as aggressively...though it is a better song being a deemed solo for Shreya...It is a potential chart buster though...
I am posting the lyrics and translation of both the songs as separate comments...As I have told you...rather than a literal word to word translation...I have tried to give the essence of the lines...which is more important I guess...But then...for instance...the word Heart...has 4 or 5 equivalents in Kannada...where as it is just Heart alone in English...That slightly takes away the beauty of the lyrics when translated...Those who understand Kannada would know what I mean...
I listened the song 'Galiye Nodu Baa' on FM and it is awesome track. I think this is one of the best duet song of Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal in kannada along with 'Ninna Nodalenthu' and 'Ade bhumi ade baanu' songs.
