At first, being an emotionally slow song it had this passionate sense for something deep. As the lyrics go, lack of communications are pushing a love on the edge that life drifted apart, (sadly to think) causing to drown themselves. The red eyes are from the tears for crying, and every often go to the beach where that heart is down deep on the blue ocean floor.Then, I thought maybe it is late night communications, connecting with eachother, distance are oceans away but a heart can meet on the blue ocean floor. Only a mere few with know what a blue ocean floor is, let's just say alsorts of things swim around there but it's all the same in the end.

The lyrics. Funny how the lyrics of a song can be applied to some situations more closely than others. This song spoke to me of a person I only knew briefly but who was loved by so many.... and he perished in the Kauai surf from a freak rogue wave that literally pulled him into the deep blue. He was never recovered, but his best friend who went in after him was recovered, lifeless. A very sad loss of two very special, bright and beautiful lights, now in our skies at night. Both were naturalists, dancers, loved life, loved people, loved everything and everyone. I like to think that the one who was never recovered is really just returned to the Mother earth and had become all a part of us, for those who knew him and miss him, he is the air they breathe and forever the ocean we all love.

When I hear this song I think of where I am in my life. In a love so wonderful and beautiful, so ready to start a life with someone else, but with no way to get it jump-started for the time being. It's frustrating - but more than anything else we have each other. So much of our strength lies in our ability to call out to each other - to "send your heartbeat" - and to occasionally get some time on that blue ocean floor, reminding ourselves what we're setting up for ourselves and each other.

RED EYES - hmmmm.... Well, if you were swimming to the ocean floor, you'd have to see which way you were going, which means your eyes would have to be open. At some point though, your eyes would be irritated by the salt water of the ocean and you would have to swim with your eyes closed, and if he can't see, he would have to depend on the beat of her heart to find her, which is where he is going with the next line.

This song is all metaphors but is still pretty telling. As many have mentioned, I think we have a pretty solid idea on who inspired Justin to write this song. It's basically about a girl who is lost, she feels like no one hears her, she feels alone in this world. Justin is saying how all the girl has to do is send her heartbeat and he'll drop everything in his life and reach out to her and they'll fade away to the blue ocean floor where all her troubles will go away and the two can be together in peace. Even though they haven't been together or seen each other in years, Justin still has a love for her and know she's hurting. This is about a love that is so strong you'd do anything for that person.

I think this song is basically telling about a love between two being so strong that nothing can keep them apart. The red eyes are from being underwater too long and he can't even see her anymore and and he can't hear her anymore from being under there so long ,despite her screaming that is being muffled by the water. But when he says " just send your heartbeat and I'll go to that blue ocean floor" I think that he means that all he has to do is know is that her heart is still beating he won't give up on saving her. Pretty much this song is saying that it doesn't matter what any two people who are in love go through or what ever suffering they or their relationship is going through,as long as their hearts are still beating they will always love each other.

I think its about someone he loved that drowned doing somethin they loved Havin to do with water.. his eyes are red from crying frequencies are low because u hear the breathing machine in the background so im guessin from the monitor and the melody is backwards for the sake of rewinding time, heart on a string that only plays solos because maybe death takes one at a time (idk) tidal wave rushin on and on takin the life of the person and all he has left is the water from which took the life of the person. He cant see them anymore (thats why he has red eyes) and he he listens to "white noise" (like the movie) and if he cant hear the dead thru it he feels like he can meet them in a place they loved on the blue ocean floor there where they can be in peace...

In the beginning they are slowly drifting. Moving apart from each other, kinda like sinking to the bottom of the blue ocean. By his red eyes can't see her anymore means they are red from the water and crying and he can't see her. He can't hear her plee for help or screaming because she is drowning and he can't hear her probably because he has water in his ears.but they find each other again at the bottom of the blue ocean floor 0852c4b9a8
