Kuduro is a style of dancing, as well as a musical genre, from Angola. Brazilian rapper Daddy Kall and singer Latino released a Brazilian version of the song, "Dana Kuduro", of the song with amended Portuguese lyrics.
On my recent cruise on Freedom, a song with Spanish lyrics was played several times at Dancing Under the Stars and the White Night Pool Party. There were a number of Spanish-speaking guests on board, and they may have requested the song from the DJ. It was really pretty. All of the Spanish-speakers knew every word and were dancing along, but not in a line dance way but rather a cha cha of sorts? (Sorry, I don't know dances.) It wasn't Danza Kuduro. (I know that one). It was maybe a little slower, but still fairly up beat. Any ideas? I loved the song and have been trying to figure out what it was!

It's not Vivir Mi Vida either. I wish I knew at least some of the words. I know that would be more helpful. All I know is it was definitely on the DJ's playlist and appeared to be a HUGELY popular song right now. The DJ played it at numerous events, sometimes after it was requested but sometimes it was clear he was going to play it anyway. Other than Danza Kuduro, it's probably the only song with Spanish lyrics played throughout the cruise.
I very much enjoyed that video. It reminded me of our Southern Caribbean cruise (it's cold out, I want to go again!) and our stay at the caribe Hilton hotel. The music is very appropriate to each section of the video. I speak Spanish, so I understand the lyrics. Well done and thank you. 0852c4b9a8
