This is the other way around with all other companies and contact, and I can't see any difference in all data in the background.

Even if I disconnect a contact, which was created under one of these organisations, the calls are recorded automatically.

There is a setting that we can turn off to prevent call recordings (see screenshot below). In order to prevent the automatic call recording from happening - we can uncheck the option and it should stop automatic call recording. Small note is that if we turn this off - it will disable recording across the entire portal as documented in this help article.

That being said, if you are only looking to disable recordings from the calling tool - this might require your team to manually stop the recording at the start of the call, in order to stop the recording before the call.

Call recording still doesn't work for me yet although when I make a call three way the option will show up. Or if I use Cheogram number then the option is displayed. Hopefully with an automatic call record option it will work in the future for all me calls

Yeah, your comment got rightfully removed honestly. You could have just sensibly asked why automatic recording hasn't been implemented and they probably would have nicely told why. This essentially just amounts to what seems to be a hit/smear attempt against the project. And all simply because you want something that would (from my understanding) save you a few seconds of turning on the call recording in the settings.

This is an amazing blog with cool info. I am now using Total Recall android application which is actually an auto call recorder and it auto record calls and auto upload files on server. Amazing User interface as well.

In V14 (See Above) there is a call recording option on the main menu on the left hand side of the Management Console. You can simply click on Recordings, then search and select the recordings you are looking for (filtering available on the top toolbar) then click the download buton and it will zip and download the files selected.

You can provide the user with limited access to the 3CX Management to download recordings via Call Reports

I do recall a setting for this being available as a meeting option, but can't seem to find the info now. Perhaps being withdrawn. @Steven Collier is in the know and could possibly assist with your question Matt.

Compliance recording is a solution for organisations that have a legal requirement to retain conversations. Microsoft provide an interface that allows third parties like Verint, Smarsh etc. to retrieve a recording of all calls and meetings for designated users. It would be nice for Microsoft to have this kind of call retention system, but they don't, and I think the logic is that most customers with this requirements will already have a preferred platform.

We do have a call recording system for our main IP phone system however I had hoped not to have to integrate that into Teams, we use Redbox which is listed as a provider that's looking to have that sort of integration so perhaps a conversation to be had there!

Our need, although compliance is one of them, is more focused on training, development and meeting recall. Currently, we review calls and meetings to improve the quality of service and to train new starters. Having to reply on the end-users to remember to record everything is a pain but hopefully the weight of option across UserVoice and other platforms will see this addressed. I'd even be happy with it just auto-recording into the user's stream or onedrive as it does now, just with the default globally set to record rather than not!.

@Steven Collier Thanks for your input. Whatever happened to the "automatic meeting recording toggle" you once posted in another conversation? It was something you saw in Message center. Surely withdrawn as there's no info at all about it?

Recorded phone conversations are automatically saved in call logs forever. You have the option to delete call recordings that you no longer want to keep. You can also download the recordings for your own records or for playback in the future.

unfortunately Samsung has blocked call recorders from working on one of the updates at the beginning of 2020, and all modern samsung devices such as Galaxy A10, A20... S10, S10+ Note 10 note 10+ and so on that have been updated stopped working. Galaxy S20 not yet, but it will, they are waiting people to buy it, and after before launching galaxy S30 they will also block. Why? I have no idea but I and everyone that owns a Samsung feels this measure as a lack of respect and consideration for their customers. My advice? Try considering another brands. Don't forget to talk bad about the brand as this is the only way they will start bothering about their customer's opinion.

I too am disgusted by how tech in the US has gone so down hill. Was forced by Verizon to update from my Galaxy S5 and the call recorder worked great. It was a lifesaver for detailed business calls or just a shopping list being dictated by my wife. One need only look to the NSA or DHS to understand why. Politicians and bureaucrats are tired of being caught saying things they should not. What an irony that now I have to order an unlocked phone from China (probably Huawei) to get what I want.
