What is the deal with not being able to type? Fair enough with the safety aspect and not allowing to type while driving. But even when I am in park and the handbrake is on it asks me to type on my phone instead of having a keyboard come up on my car screen.

What is the point of wireless android auto if I have to take out my phone to type when I want to go to a new location? Looks like ill be going back to iphone next year where things just work like its supposed to...

Auto-Keyboard is a software that imitate keyboard keystroke and mouse action. You may enter a group of keystrokes or mouse actions then it will automatically and repeatedly generate the group of keystrokes or mouse actions. Auto-Keyboard can economize a lot of times for you if you have a lot of and repeated keyboard or mouse working.

Many jobs require to carry out repetitive tasks using a combination of keys and/or mouse clicks. This program allows you to automate these tasks in an easy way. You only need to create a new task and add the keys you need to be pressed, as well as the mouse clicks if required. Then, you can save this combination and schedule it to be carried out at preset intervals, or only when you press a hotkey. This may be useful, for example, when you have a complex and time-consuming key combination that you need to type several times in a given period of time. You can create a new task on the program, add the key combination, and use a hotkey (say, F2), so every time you press it, the program can emulate the keyboard and type the combination automatically.

You can Press and Hold or Press and Repeat, either of which result in the key being held down and the macro continuing. The difference is with Press and Repeat, the key is held down and periodically released and repressed, just as happens if you press and hold a repeating key on the keyboard.

The reason for this is that otherwise you have keys on your keyboard effectively stuck down, which can lead to far too much confusion. Its why I have not implemented this feature at all until 7 version in.

I've been using 1Password on Android for quite a while now and it has worked well so far. Since a few weeks however (I'm not sure when exactly it started), I cannot use the auto-fill popup anymore, which is sort of annoying.

What happens is that the popup usually shows up when a login field is present. Most of the time this login field will also activate the on-screen keyboard. Once the on-screen keyboard appears, the auto-fill popup disappears. Sometimes the on-screen-keyboard is quicker to appear in which case I will not see the auto-fill popup at all. I'm not sure if the popup actually disappears or if it is just hidden under the on-screen keyboard. Only in some rare cases (like 5% of the time) the auto-fill popup stays when the keyboard activates and I can properly log in using it. Most of the time now, I have to open up the 1Password app and manually copy&paste login information into the login fields.

Thank you very much for getting back to me :). It would seem like the keyboard is not making any difference. I tried SwiftKey, Samsung's keyboard and even the 1 Password keyboard, happens with all the 3. So maybe it isn't caused by the keyboard. It seems to work better in Firefox where the pop-up is working most of the time, but not always. In Brain.fm it doesn't show but intermittently appears and then immediately disappears when I quickly tap the login field a few times.

The behavior seems to be that when an input field for a password is focused, the pop-up quickly appears and then immediately disappears. When you do this the first time, the keyboard will also open - which led me to believe that the issue might be caused by the on-screen keyboard.

I therefore tapped the input field multiple times to see if I could make the pop-up appear again once the keyboard is opened. The video shows that indeed I can, but the pop-up almost immediately disappears again. It also partially renders over the keyboard (which I am not sure if this is supposed to be).

@andiAG thanks for having a look, I just sent the report. I had to do a bit of manual copy & pasting as the "email now"-functionality wouldn't automatically attach the report to the mail, but I hope you got some useful information anyways. If I messed up, please let me know :)

Really sorry about the delay, but I think I found a solution. I realized the Front and Back value I was reading for the side was actually just the name anki had for the field being typed on the card. I added an option in the settings for each deck (in the keyboard chooser submenu), so that this could be changed if the field names are different like yours. The new version should be up now.

I recently upgraded my phone to a Pixel7 and all move to 1Password8.

As I go through all my sign up 1Password8 does not appear in my keyboard as I feel in app or browser.

Have I miss/mess some permission? Can you help troubleshoot?

Thank you

Starting with the 2211 version, a virtual keyboard automatically appears when you place the cursor on an editable field. This feature enhances the user experience on touchscreen devices, unlike the previous behavior where you had to click the keyboard icon to view the virtual keyboard.

to return ownership of keyboard and mouse to your host operating system, VirtualBox reserves a special key on your keyboard for itself: the "host key". By default, this is the right Control key on your keyboard; on a Mac host, the default host key is the left Command key.

For a troublesome Vagrant-generated guest machine running a Linux server distro without graphics which doesn't respond to the other solutions here: With the [text] console of the guest machine (where it is still possible to type), shutdown the guest with sudo shutdown -h now ; the guest machine halts and removes itself from the screen, which returns mouse and keyboard control to the the host PC (in my case I was having to login before I could issue the shutdown command; reminder: default vagrant credentials are vagrant/vagrant)

There are four different layouts you can use when inputting text with the touch keyboard. Select the keyboard settings icon in the upper-left corner of the touch keyboard to view and switch between options.

Select the icons just below the layout options to dock and undock your keyboard. This allows you to keep it in a stationary position or move it to a different place on your screen to best fit your workstyle.

This layout splits the keyboard so that one half of it is near the left edge of the screen and the other is on the right. This makes it easier to type when holding a touchscreen device with two hands. (Not available in all languages.)

If you have a device with a touchscreen, the touch keyboard lets you input text by tapping a keyboard that appears on your screen with your pen or fingertip. Use it with the default layout or try one of the other available options.

In some games you may need to hold a key or key combination continuously. Auto Keyboard Presser can make your computer do it automatically! It can automate your PC to hold a specified key continuously or every few milliseconds/seconds/minutes/hours. With this auto keyboard presser, you can release at least one of your fingers, playing the game easier and more comfortable.

to install the 3rd-party tool solaar on Ubuntu, so I can use it to pair and unpair new Logitech devices such as keyboards and mice to my unifying Logitech Receivers, and so I can see the battery status of many of these devices, but the solaar version installed is very old, doesn't show up properly in the top-right of my main screen, and overall seems buggy.

Lastly, we need solaar to auto-start at startup. Open your Startup Applications GUI program and look for a "Solaar" entry. I have one here. If you don't have one, click "Add" to add one. If you do have it, click "Edit" to look at it.
