I've got some problem
When I install amplified bible in e-sword in install directory that bible isn't in list and I can't use.
I try anything, even uninstall program and nothing help.
Please help me
PS: that is only problem whit Amplified bible, i don't know why. I try install tree type amplified bible which i found on net and nothing happen it's not on list and can't use

I downloaded and installed the Geneva Bible to E-sword: it worked wonderfully. Later on I downloaded the Geneva Bible with Apocrypha. It had what looked like a 'text' icon. Although it had the bblx extension, it won't open to be installed. It can't find a app to open it.
Is it not possible to have both at the same time? I'm not sure what I did wrong.
Could someone help?

I just didn't scroll down far enough to find the Geneva, and Bishops' Bibles. Face palms and mutters "Duh" under my breath. Thank you JPG.
Katoog, I meant when it downloaded. I've noticed that when I downloaded the lighthouse bible, inside the zip file was the same kind of file with a text icon. I've seen it a few times now. Do I put those somewhere for E-sword to find? Do I put them directly into the Virtual Store; all the ones in there have the same icon.

This has always struck me as odd, since two swords for 11 disciples are not enough for self-defense, especially if they go out two by two as they did before. Plus, nowhere else does Jesus allow for violence in self-defense. Is Jesus now adding some footnotes to his Sermon on the Mount?
Indeed, Peter drew his sword and struck a blow for Jesus. John Chrysostom, one of my favorite Church leaders of all time, asks a great series of questions here: Why did Peter even have a weapon? Did Jesus not command his followers to refuse to carry items of value?
My search (that brought me here) was regarding would it have taken great skill to wield the sword and take off an ear, only? Peter was not a soldier, so curious as to why he had seemingly obvious practice with the sword? Was it common to carry a sword?

The sword of the Spirit is how Paul describes the word of God and its role in spiritual warfare. While truth, salvation, faith, and righteousness are also depicted as essential pieces of armor, the Word of God is depicted as the offensive weapon used in spiritual warfare against the devil, demons, and their schemes.
It is possible to read the Bible critically, judging whether you agree with its claims or not. A much more appropriate way of reading the Bible is to let it critique us, as it judges the thoughts and attitudes of our hearts with the precision of a double-edged sword.
The machaira, as used by a Roman soldier, was straight, double-edged, and typically around 20-24 inches long. Their sharp, tapered point made them effective for stabbing, and their double edges made them effective for slashing and cutting. Whereas longer weapons, such as spears and pikes, would be used for frontline soldiers, machaira was the sword used for close combat.
Paul expands upon the role of governments in today's passage, telling us that the government's vocation is to carry the sword and execute God's wrath on the wrongdoer (v. 4b).
